I have always wanted to major in the medical field, I started working towards my degree in nursing, and I got a job as a CNA. Working with the elderly has been great, it has given me more Patience than I already had. being able to care for someone that can be my grandmother or any family member brings great satisfaction. of course my 87 year old grandmother with early obset Alzheiner's, still lives at home. it is my heart pleasure to see the elderly be safe and happy in their own home with proper care.

I am a very compassionate reliable person with over 30 yrs experience. I used to take care of my grandmother and enjoyed ever minute. I love helping the elderly. Making them feel worthy and making them smile is all worth it. I am very sensitive to their feelings. They need companionship someone to listen and have patience and I am that person.

I love working with elderly people. I am a very caring person honest hard working and loyal. I took care of my grandmother for 5 yrs when she became ill. I enjoyed every minute with her. I have been a cna since 1990 became private caregiver for the past 15 yrs. I really enjoy working one on one with individuals. My personal achievement was going back to college.

I began my career in dentistry. I graduated from Indiana University with a certificate in Dental Assisting and earned my Expanded Functions of Dental Assisting in 1996 and went on to be a sophomore in dental hygiene and pre dental. While attending dental hygiene I became married and had my son Gabriel. During this time I took time away from school to stay home with my baby! When he was two I went to work as a Dental Assistant again. During this time I noticed Drs treating patients as numbers instead of people. So my nurse friend asked if I would like to work as a home health aide/ caregiver for home health Visiting Angels. I started working with Visiting Angels in 2013. And I found my purpose!! I worked with hospice, Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's, stroke, and being a companion. I have a lot of experience with medication reminders, bathing hygiene, ect. The thing I enjoy most about caregiving/ home health aide is putting smiles on my patients faces, helping them as much as I can so they know they are cared about. I treat each patient as I would want my family taken care of!! I'm very compassionate and patient. I give over 100% And I absolutely love what I do. I can go home at night knowing I helped someone, I put a smile on their faces or held their hand. I not only help them but they help me as well.

I have been a natural caregiver all of my life, from helping raise my younger sisters, to becoming a certified nursing assistant when my beloved Grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. I've worked in the healthcare field for 8 years now and have been a certified nursing assistant since 2012. I am a very outgoing caring person. I started the health field when I was 18 because my aunts a nurse and got me a job at her nursing home. I enjoy making relationships with my residents getting to know their life is so interesting to me.
