At a very young age I realize that I always wanted to help people. From taking care of younger siblings to my grandpa when he got sick. I am 57 years old mature, responsible and experienced caregiver from Bloomington.my background is in Elementary Education but in the last 10 years or more, I have worked as a Home Health aide in senior facilities and residential. My services can provide companionship, light house cleaning, meal prep, shopping, strands, take to appt. Personal care, and pet care if needed. Most of my career has been as a caregiver. There was a brief time that I worked in accounting completing my degree in 2015. It seems that I am doing what I enjoy the most helping others.

Most of all I love hearing stories of how different the world was years ago. My greatest accomplishments are my babies. I have an 18 year old boy serving in our Military, a sassy with class 4 year old little girl, and a spunky, energetic , unbelievably strong 2 year old little boy that remind me daily of how lucky and blessed I am.

I love providing companionship to my patients and assuring their safety with lots of tender loving care. I have 6 years of experience as a live-in and day care provider for my patients with Parkinson's disease, osteoporosis, disabilities and other illnesses including wound care. This has been with compassion, honesty, integrity, responsibility and tender loving care. My duties included light housekeeping, laundry, cooking, shopping, running errands, doctor appointments and just being a good companion. I have excellent references. I have my own car.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I enjoy helping the elderly and I've been a CNA for the last 4 years and I also do home health care also. I've worked in nursing homes where there was many of residents that needed help with ADLs.

I am well experienced. I became a caregiver, more than twenty years ago, to give quality care to those in need. I enjoy meeting new people and listening to their stories. I have had Certified Nursing Assistant training, Direct Support Professional training, Qualified Medication Aide training, and am well read with experience as Physical Therapy Aide. As a caregiver, it is nice to have both a decent medical vocabulary and an interest in continuous learning about the functions of the human body.
