I am currently a stay at home mom to High school students with Special Needs. I am looking forward to spending time with clients of all ages and stages of life! I have a Nursing license that is inactive- but it is this nursing degree/passion for people that has given me the desire to care take and love on others- deeply. I am half glass full type person who loves to help others in their journey through life! I love to sit and chat and play games/take walks in the fresh air and enjoy getting to know others etc. as we all journey together through this walk we call life! My career aspirations are aimed at health care because I want to serve my community and help alleviate health care disparities. I possess a Bachelor of Science in Biology with seven years as a patient care assistant with Nurse Assistant and med level 1 certificates. I have many years of customer service experience, and I enjoy serving people and my community. I am a team player, servant. I have a CPR/first aid and Food Safety License as well as MS Office certified

I took care of both of my parents. I love being around their wisdom. They think i'm funny and fun to be with. I would rather be around older people. Aways have since I was little. Guess it started in childhood since that's what we had living around us in our neighborhood.! And feel very blessed that its a calling too. I love talking and most of all listening to my clients. I'm very patient and dependable with a Big Heart.!

I was a caregiver to a quadriplegic professor when I was in college to help pay for my tuition. After college, I continued doing private care on the side for some Alzheimer patients at a nursing home. In 2004, I enrolled at a nursing school for a year and a half. I did not finish my degree, but I did receive my certification as a CNA and as a Medication Technician. I keep up to date with the newest discoveries and findings in the world of medicine. Even though I have not had any new medical training, I am current on my knowledge of diseases, medications and side effects of such medications. For instance, I am aware that when you care for an Alzheimer's patient, you step into his/her world, and not insist that he/she conforms to your expectations of what is real. I am compassionate and capable. All of the kids are either all grown or almost grown, but I still have this vast need to nurture. My husband refuses to be smothered, so, I need to go out of the house and find someone else who would appreciate being cared for :-) My kids are my biggest accomplishment. The eldest is going to medical school this summer, and the middle one is attending UMKC in August. The youngest one is doing great as a Sophomore while giving out just enough sass to maintain her teenage status.

Growing up I have always been very interested in helping people for their daily living. I am kind, gentle, and very compassionate person. What attracted me to being a caregiver was generally to help people and advocate for people. What enjoy most about being a caregiver is to be able help people in their sickness and you see how their health improves. One of my personal achievements is to be able to graduate from school, proud of that.

I believe what makes me a great caregiver is that I have such a big heart and I love to make people feel better even just being able to cheer them up makes me smile. I love anything in the medical field whether it's working in a doctors office, or being a caregiver I love just the feeling I get doing my job. The most that I enjoy is that when I finish at the end of the day I leave my client with a smile. I'm proud that I have came this far with my career and I'm still pushing to go far , I want my son to be proud of me . I'm a hard worker and I am the type who likes to constantly keep myself busy.
