I am generally a happy person who likes to keep busy. I feel that if you can do something now to make your tomorrows better, you should. I became a caregiver for a family member suffering with cancer. As her disease progressed I fould that I was good at managing the details of her disease and helping her gave me comfort. Making her life less stressful and ensuring she had the level of care she deserved made me happy. Hearing her stories and learning from her was one of the great experiences of my life.

Being a caregiver is more than a job. It is a passion. It is important to me that we give back and take care of the elder generation. I have always loved helping others and being a very outgoing and caring person, this has always been a great job for me. I have pride in the work I do. I enjoy the relationships I make and to know my clients are well taken care of. I treat my clients like they are my family!! I have tons of experience and I'm reliable and trustworthy!

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am very responsible, dependable and work my best to make the one I am taking care of feel special and happy every day I care for them. What attracted me to becoming a Caregiver was that I was needing a job since I had just moved back to my hometown and filled out an application with Kelly Girls, an agency that hired people for different jobs. I was called to care for an 80 year + lady and enjoyed it. It was not what I went to College for, but continued to do both working in Administrative work and then part-time as a Caregiver. The thing that I enjoy most about being a Caregiver is the stories of those I care for. There is so much history that they have to share...even those from different parts of the Country and learning how different things were from then to now. My Mother was born in the Depression years and experienced the years of WWII, where 3 of her brothers were part of. It's the elderly who helped build the life around us and them being nurtured by their parents to give us a better tomorrow. I believe the most personal achievement I can say I am proud of is that I was taught good work ethics by my Mom, who was a farm girl. I started working at age 11 and have worked many different types of work and am a fast learner. I paid for my own College and worked at times 2 jobs to pay for my own apartment. In the Caregiving field, I have been taught some things that a Nurse is qualified for, but taught by the family of their loved one how to do certain tasks. I am very respectful of people and their property.

Hello! I am a 21 year old caregiver born and raised in Danville, Kentucky! I am a mother to a 1 year old as well as a nursing student. I will be finished with nursing school in June of 2024. Growing up , my father was always hospitalized due to heart complications which introduced me into nursing , and I consider it 2nd nature. My favorite part of caregiving is helping and giving to others as well as forming new bonds with my clients.

I am 25, going on 26 years old, I have a very old soul & I'm a social butterfly! & what helps me take care of my clients the best is the fact that I treat EVERY ELDERLY PERSON THAT I WORK FOR, as if they're my own grandmother or grandfather!! What attracted me to caregiving was taking care of my paralyzed great aunt at 16 & feeling like I was finally useful, like I finally had a purpose... I felt it was my calling.... what I enjoy most about caregiving, is the fact that I'm helping someone else live their best life for the rest of their days! 1. Friendly, loving, very caring person. I enjoy sitting and listening to their life stories. I enjoy helping them feel important and loved. 2. I took care of my father until he passed, then I started sitting with a lady from my Church. After that I sat with another lady whom I met through friends. I sat with her probably a year or more. 3. I like to make them feel good about themselves, give them love and attention. 4. My greatest reward was for taking care of my father and getting compliments from his doctor and nurses on the great care I gave him.
