My name is Tamara and I've been in the medical field for about 25 years and I love what I do. I always trying to make people day better just by a simple smile or just being there to listen. People who need care often take longer to complete simple tasks, patience and compassion can go a long way when it comes to helping anyone complete any task. I'm very dependable, detail oriented, self started and just love to make everyone feel comfortable and like family.

I enjoy helping others in a variety of capacities. I have worked for a handful of individuals who have had SCI's and am constantly amazed by their determination and their ability to continue on with life. I feel that I am constantly learning and would love to pass on my knowledge to others. I feel that my job isn't "cookie cutter", it is truly about making the life of my client easier in whatever way possible. No task is too small if it is what needs to be done. My parents taught me two things that I try to incorporate into every job that I have. One to leave things better than you found it, and to do what needs to be done, before you are asked to do it. I am very good with details, and while it may take me a day or two to learn a new schedule or program, I know that I will be doing it the way that you want it done. With my experience with SCI, people don't have a lot of control over their own lives, and I make it my first priority to give as much of it back to you as I can.

I am a wife and mom of 6, 4 daughters and 2 boys, all teenagers except my almost 3 year old. I'm extremely family oriented and have always been the caregiver of the family. I would like to help families get a break, so they can have some "me time" by offering respite. I have a current CPR/First Aide Certification. Completed all state modules through College of Direct Support and certified in medication administration. I'am available Friday evenings through Sunday evenings.

My grandmother when i was young went into hospice care as my mother was her caregiver i went daily and helped with what i could at the time, following that i met and provided care for an elderly lady until she passed away. I am CPR/AED certified and was a scout during my younger years providing me with first aid and wound care training .

Whether helping someone in continuing to live as independently as possible, assisting the challenges of disability, or comforting pain and fear toward end of life, caregiving gives back more than I could have imagined. My journey into this career path began within my family in 1996, three loved ones now gone. The greatest experience of my life, outside of a beautiful daughter, was having the honor of helping those I loved. After which, I met and cared for incredible people, graced by being of part of their lives, and worked alongside those that remain good friends.
