I am a hard dedicated worker and a very friendly person. I was a CNA for over 15 years and love helping the elderly with their daily needs.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am very responsible, dependable and work my best to make the one I am taking care of feel special and happy every day I care for them. What attracted me to becoming a Caregiver was that I was needing a job since I had just moved back to my hometown and filled out an application with Kelly Girls, an agency that hired people for different jobs. I was called to care for an 80 year + lady and enjoyed it. It was not what I went to College for, but continued to do both working in Administrative work and then part-time as a Caregiver. The thing that I enjoy most about being a Caregiver is the stories of those I care for. There is so much history that they have to share...even those from different parts of the Country and learning how different things were from then to now. My Mother was born in the Depression years and experienced the years of WWII, where 3 of her brothers were part of. It's the elderly who helped build the life around us and them being nurtured by their parents to give us a better tomorrow. I believe the most personal achievement I can say I am proud of is that I was taught good work ethics by my Mom, who was a farm girl. I started working at age 11 and have worked many different types of work and am a fast learner. I paid for my own College and worked at times 2 jobs to pay for my own apartment. In the Caregiving field, I have been taught some things that a Nurse is qualified for, but taught by the family of their loved one how to do certain tasks. I am very respectful of people and their property.

Hi. I have a caring personality. I am an empath. I was attracted to being a caregiver because of my grandmother. She was also a CNA. A personal achievement of mine is my stepdaughter. Raising her gave me an opportunity I wouldn't of had.

I am a great caregiver because I care about who I am caring for. I always put the resident first. I am always very happy to make their golden years as enjoyable and pleasant as possible. I am attracted to being a caregiver because when I become an elderly I want to be care for just like the care I gave to others. I enjoy making the resident happy and they are glad that I can take good care for them. I am proud of myself when the resident says you are so good to me and I love you. When the resident tells me that then I know I am good at my job.

I am very passionate about caring for seniors. They bring so much knowledge and love and that's all they really ask for in return. I love being able to bring a smile to there face and giving relief to there family knowing that there love one is being taken care of.

I became a caregiver in 2013, certified as a CNA in 2016, I've worked with several different clients & am distinguished in caring for diversities in personality disorder, disabilities, rehab, and offering companionship. I am a Christian woman & desire to treat any of my patients as family and not as a duty, caring for people may be my job but it is also my calling & I will always do it for the reward of helping others rather than for the money.

I was a CNA years ago and I have also taken care of several family members. Especially in the end stages of their life. I started with taking care of a MS patient at 15 years old an then went on to work in nursing homes. I was trained in the Alzheimer's unit. And then once I had my son I stayed home for a few years to take care of him and let my CNA license go. But then was needed to take care of grandma while she was dying from Stomach cancer and non Hopkins lymphoma. Then my grandpa after her he had prostate cancer and then kidney failure. Then my other grandma also. Giving meds an bathing while In bed an taking her teeth out an cleaning them and also making sure she drank and ate. Reading to her and listening to Allen Jackson gospel music. Me an her both loved his gospel cds. We would also talk about God. church is something I'm very active in. Im also a member of the praise team and it is very important for me to be able to share that with others. I have plenty of experience with in home care an just being there so ppl are not alone. And if we can share the love of Christ while we share our time together is even more so a blessing. Im a mother of a now 13 yr old son and I've been with my husband for almost 18 years now.

I have a great deal of compassion for the elderly. My father in law convinced me to try helping others as I do he and my mother in law. I think nursing homes are terrible places for them to spend their golden years and hospitals are even worse. If I can help anyone avoid them I like to try.

I became a caregiver because I have always been great with people no matter the age. I love to help people and assistant them, it is rewarding to me even though sometimes people do not appreciate it. I have recently completed a semester of school with two babies at home and made decent grades in continuing my education for my psychology and criminology degree. I am 24 years old, I am married to a Marine veteran. I have 3 kids, two girls and a boy. I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for a little over four years and I love it!
