Hi! My name is Jessica. I'm a 41 yr old married mother of two. We live in a little house in a quiet neighborhood on the Westside with our pup, BOSS. My years of HHA/STNA experience started with my Grandpa. His cancer was aggressive and starting to spread and was told his weeks numbered. Hospice was called and he was able to go home; to live in a familiar, peaceful place with Family and where friends were welcome as well. Plans were made and I moved into my grandparents house and became his Nurse/Companion/ Counselor/Taxi/helper/Maid/Doctor/Chef/Aide; whatever my Grandpa needed me to be. I got to spend 11 months caring for my Grandpa before he passed. I was devastated but very thankful for the extra time we'd gotten to have. Thanks to my Grandpa, I'd realized that this is what I'm meant to do...I've been in this line of work ever since. I have taken care of younger people, older couples and single people in their homes. I had the opportunity to help a Family friend by ways of a "live in" Caretaker for a short time as well as working at a Nursing Home/Retirement Community for 4 years on the Alzheimer's/Dementia Unit. I've also had the pleasure of taking care of/helping with a few Furry Family members as well as the newest additions to the Family I'm with! Taking care of others has always been a passion of mine, from family to friends. Becoming a nurse 17 years ago, gave me the fuel to be able to bring quality care, companionship, and helping patients become great advocate for their health any many ways. I dedicated myself to private duty several years ago, after my clients passed on, I thought I wanted to be back in the field again. I miss it, I want to be able to know that my one on one care is not being taken for granted and that the ones that I care for know that their concerns, mental, emotional, and physical status is priority, along with giving their family a sense of knowing that they made the right decision allowing me to care for their loved one.
