I enjoy learning about my clients and their experiences throughout their lives and I feel that's the main thing I was looking for coming into this line of work. Building a rapport with all of the patients and residents I've worked for is the most rewarding experience I've had still to this day I'm in contact with some of the first residents I ever had I'm here to not only be a caregiver but as well a friend and companion.

I'm 39 years old and I enjoy gardening, doing nails, cooking and art. I have 2 teenagers, my son is 16 and my daughter is 18. I have always had a passion for taking care of seniors. When I was a child, probably 6, I learned that the old lady that lived across the street I thought was just a school teacher, was actually an escapee of Bonnie and Clyde. I would go sit with her everyday. And when I was 10 I started taking care of her because I noticed the ladies that were there were stealing from her and not giving her proper hygiene cleaning or feeding her well. I took care of her until I was 16. Then her family has come to stay with her because she was fading away. But there were other elderly on my street I cared for growing up. And they are the reason I am so drawn to caring for the elderly. I enjoy sitting and talking to the people I care for. They are wise and they have many stories. And they love to tell everything they've been through and learned. They truly care about people and their well-being. I see caregiving as a type of gratitude and I enjoy doing crafts or anything with them. I like to make them feel good about themselves. I am not a perfect person. No one is. We all make bad choices and go through hard struggles in life. Personally, I am proud of myself for all I've overcome. I have come a long way. Not every day is easy but every day is conquered. So many people judge others before they hear their story. The love of the elderly and their willingness to accept and trust in a stranger to come in and care for them is overpowering in my mind. They demonstrate the kind of love we should have for one another, whether they be a stranger or not and I admire them for that and so much more.

I am outgoing, energetic, and full of compassion. I give 110% in all I do. I became a caregiver at the age of 15 when my neighbor fell ill and I've loved it and have been doing it ever since.

I have enjoyed my job and helping other for over 20yrs.I treat others love ones as I would my own.It is hard to be able to trust your love ones with someone else.So I try to reassure them that their family are in good hands.God had Blessed me to continue to do the work that I love.And going to do my best.

My first experience with elderly assistant was my Grandmother who lived with me growning up and she became my responsibility when my dad had an 18 wheeler accident and mom had to care for him. Since then I have has several jobs with the elderly and love it...i am easy going and mostly happy I try to get along with everyone and I get attached easily to people. Im a hard worker and im dependable also a single mom of a 7 year old

I am bubbly and pleasant to be around. I am always in a good mood and enjoy life.I was attracted to Caregiving after taking care of my Grandmother. What I enjoy most is getting to know everyone I care for. I have achieved taking care of several people with compassionship and excellent care.

Hi, My name is Crystal Simmons. I have worked in the nursing Feilds of all types since 2002. I started as a PCA and then in 2005 I went to CNA school. Where I went to school at we had to have a RN as the teacher and three months training. I enjoy helping other's and meeting new people from all walks of life.

I became a CNA because I love helping people that can't help themselves. What I like about being a caregiver is that there is always people in the world that are going to need me and can make a difference in someones life.
