I always love helping my elderly clients & families with companionship, household tasks, sweeping, mopping, helping clients complete their activities of daily living each day! I decided to become a caregiver when I was 18, I have always loved helping family's provide care for there loved ones! I have had current personal support specialist license in the state of maine since 2006.

I'm an extremely empathetic, caring and compassionate person. I am a caretaker by nature and have always felt that doing such work I was born to do. I grew up taking close care of family members and got great joy from doing so. I feel caretaking gives me incredible purpose and can't imagine doing anything else.

In 2017 I graduated from nursing school with the intention of helping people be stay healthy and feel their best. I have been a registered nurse for two years now and am hoping to expand my caregiving career. It is my hope to help people maintain their quality of life and independence safely as they age. I enjoy reading, pets, going for walks, running errands and being out of doors.

I have experience working in hospital ED's, transport services and in emergency services. I am currently pursuing a nursing degree and I am looking for PT work in home care. I also have the necessary skills that are needed to care for a person with healthcare issues such as medical monitoring, medication administration, nutrition, etc. I also have a solid understanding of the pathology of many different diseases and illness such as diabetes, dementia, heart disease and the like. Most importantly I possess critical thinking skills needed to identify an emergency or changes that may lead to the need for further care. I possess a high degree of both professionalism and empathy. I have a great sense of humor and a ton of life experience. I treat my patients just as I would my own family and friends. I have been a CNA/CMT for 24 years. I have worked in a wide variety of healthcare settings. I enjoy being a caregiver the most because I know it's a Job that can truly have an impact on the quality of someones life.The times I have done home care I found it very rewarding to know that because of me a person was able to stay at home and be more independent than if they had to live in a facility. I am a compassionate caregiver who tries to anticipate what my clients needs are ahead of time.
