I have a long line of care takers in my family so it's always been my passion to help people live their lives to the fullest. My passion for working with the elderly started when I was in middle school, volunteering at my local nursing home. I received a letter of commendation from former Senator Alice Clausing for my volunteer work. After high school I obtained my CNA license. I'm a very confident and experienced caregiver. I have been a nurse for 23 yrs. besides being a wife and mother of three. I am a natural caregiver and feel this is my call in life. I took care of my mother in her last years and worked with geriatrics in an assisted living and acute hospital setting. I have recently moved to WA state and look forward to working here.

A personal achievement I am proud of is my Patience, Love and Understanding. My ability to adapt quickly. I moved to Florida three summers ago from Minnesota. I have yet to get used to the Florida summers. However, I do enjoy and embrace the Flora, Foliage and Fauna. I see something new everyday. My new favorite Florida bird is the Painted Bunting. Hello my name is Shanna, I am 36 years old and I live in apple valley, MN. I spent most of my life around the CNA/HHA profession. My dad, mom,grandma, and aunt were all CNA's. I have always loved helping people. Knowing that I followed in my families footsteps. I was certified as a nursing assistant but due to an injury I stepped back. I miss being a CNA so I thought I would give HHA a try. One personal achievement I am proud of is finishing my certification in medical billing and coding with all A's and B's.
