I spent 11 years in the military in which I was honorably discharged at the end of 2012. I completed and received an associate degree in art while serving. I continued my education while being unemployed from the time I was released from the military until April of 2013 and earned a bachelor degree in psychology. A week later I began practical nursing school and graduated top of my class a year later and was rewarded the leadership award. I passed my state board and earned my Practical Nursing license with an IV certification. I have since worked as an admission nurse, hospice nurse, agency nurse, floor nurse, managed a long term care facility, and was a day shift manager as well as a day shift unit supervisor. I recently completed my associate's degree in science in nursing and am waiting to sit for boards for my registered nursing license. I am looking to slowly transition from the facility setting into private duty helping people in their home setting.

Im Kayla im 22 and i believe my mission in life is to care for others. I cared extensively for my grandmother through the stuggle with cancer and my love for helping others has grown ever since. I'm a very happy soul who loves tolend a listening ear, shoulder to cry on and a hand to hold. I am a very caring and outgoing person. I love being a caregiver because I love helping people. I try making the person feel as comfortable as possible, by that I mean getting older is sometimes hard enough, then on top of that not being able to fully care for yourself can be quite discouraging and harder for some to accept, I like to help them and make them feel better about their situation at the same time.The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing I can make a difference in someones life.
