Being a caregiver for the past forty years has given me countless opportunities to help a variety of people. I have dealt with many different situations and illnesses in all age groups. I am a compassionate and patient individual. Nursing is my career. I started in 1978 as a certified nursing assistant and went on to graduate in 1995 as an LPN. My specialty is geriatrics mostly in skilled nursing facilities. Presently I work private care only. I much rather prefer to focus on individual care now. Having taken care of both of my parents at home and having years of nursing background, I am more than qualified to take care of your loved one. I will provide a relaxing, stimulating environment where they will feel safe. All the while making sure their daily needs are met. Providing nutrious meals and snacks is also important. I have specialized knowledge of Altzeimers and dementia. I have no problem giving insulin shots or morphine as I worked in hospice care. I am single with my son grown up. I have a very flexible schedule yet do make time for myself. I keep Sundays free for church and family. I prefer to work day hours, but will work some evenings if needed. I can only help your loved one if they are able to be mobile as I have a lifting restriction. I can assist someone in and out and up and down, but not if I have to lift. I have a family member that pass away from a certain sickness, I was their but I couldn't help in any shape or form, since then I decided to join the health care field and join hands in fighting certain diseases . I'm very friendly and caring, I have done in home care for about 3 years total and then worked as a medical assistant since 2018. I'm currently going to school for respiratory therapy I have 1.5 years left this is why I choose to go back to home care as the schedule for school doesn't allow me to work a normal 9-5 but this also allows me to get back to doing what I love the one on one care with a client.

I am very loving and compassionate when it comes to caring for a person. I grew in a big family and as the older sibling/cousin I was always in charge for caring and taking care of the younger ones. Eventually as I got older made my own little family my daughters grandmother ended gradually showing signs of dementia and I stepped in and became her first caregiver. So for me this touches home cause I've experienced it with someone I loved dearly and it broke my heart to see her slowly forgetting the ones around her. I loved that I was able to show her love, kindness and happiness until she no longer remembered anything anymore. I am very proud of how many people I have been able to keep in good spirits the last 10 years.
