I was raised up caring for people beginning in my own family. At the nudging of my mother, I became an LVN in 1985. After the passing of my father, I neglected to keep my LVN license current but remained in the field of caring. I enjoy helping others accomplish their day as well as family members observing positive change in a homebound loved one. I have a long history in caring which include but not limited to, psych care, dementia, hearing and vision impairment, physical disabilities and so on. I take my work seriously and respect individuals for who they are as well as what they may be going through.

Hello, First I'd like to share a few things about my experiences as a CNA/caregiver. I have always been a nurturing person first as a child and continuing through adulthood, It brings me great pleasure to help everyone I can. I started my career in 1993 by attending a State licensed class and being state certified to work as such. I have continued my education for 28 years now and I am told I bring great skill set to many homes and individuals. I have worked as a CNA in Hospitals, Home Health, Physical Rehabilitation Centers, Nursing Homes and Private Duty Requests. I enjoy them all. I've worked with Hospice,Alzheimer's, dementia, diabetes, strokes, obesity, bed bound clients such a paraplegic and quadriplegic, ALS clients, PTSD clients, schizophrenia clients, post surgical and more. I offer help with ADLs, showers, bed baths, exercise, meal preparation, vital sign checks, medication reminders, doctor appointments, and more.

The traits that help me to become a great caregiver is to be compassionate, loving, dependable, and trustworthy. Things that attracted me to be a caregiver is I enjoy talking with elder people and more so because I was the helping hand for my grandmother before her passing. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the one on one conversations I have with my patient speaking on past life and obstacles they went through in life and how they survived. My personal achievement is I was able to nurse one of past patients back to health in the length of 3 wks to a month

Some of my personality traits are I am very outgoing very calm and collective I am caring diligent very trustworthy and Experience when it comes to taking care of others. What attracts me to being a caregiver is knowing that there is always someone there for another person and being able to create such beautiful bonds that no others have been able to experience. I became a caregiver in 2012 when a dear friend needed help with her crippled Mother with heart issues and her Father with Alzheimer's . Little did I know the journey would change my heart and my life forever. Elderly people are the most precious lives and often pushed aside. I believe they need to be cared for at the highest level and treated as a V.I.P. They made this world we live in and deserve to be cared for and treated special until their last breath. I love making them feel loved and special. I love making them laugh. Their last year's should be their BEST years not their worst. I have an excellent track record with caring for the elderly. I humbly admit my patients have always requested my return as their permanent caregiver. I love my world as a caregiver as I am a servant at heart. I gave up a successful career in broadcasting to work full-time taking care of the elderly and I go to sleep with an inner satisfaction at the end of each day. Elderly people are my world and I am here to do for them what you cannot do because of your other obligations.
