I'm friendly, nice and like to help people. I'm a very trustworthy and a passionate person. I also wanted a rewarding job, and caregiving is just that. I enjoy talking to and making people laugh. I was very friendly with all our residents at my previous job. I am proud to have four healthy grandchildren that I adore.

I chose this path in the medical field from a young age when I realized how much I valued the individuality and the wisdom of my elders, and how much joy it brings me to be able to be a shining light in their darkest days. I plan on caring compassionately for my patients and rendering help to those in need. The interpersonal relationships with the patients/family are the reason I am here. In 2019, I was my father's primary caregiver, and I experienced some unprofessional nursing staff that made me want to be in the medical field even more. I have heard horror stories of unkind, unprofessional, non-caring nurses that are involved with our patients, and it utterly breaks my heart. I'm a firm believer that you lived a valuable life if you positively affected at least 1 person in your lifetime and I want to be rich in experience when my time comes. I view everyone as potential family and will always advocate for the patient with their best interest in mind. There are countless good people in this world that are deserving of so much. I crave to be a part of that experience. It's my calling here on earth and my purpose being a Christian woman. I view myself as being caring, empathetic, compassionate, understanding, medically knowledgeable, and a reliable person. I believe time with nature, is its own medicine and that love can heal. I encourage the patient to be active in their care and maintain a positive outlook. I am detail-oriented, focused, dedicated, and eager to get to know you and the family! I am a full-time student, going back to finish my bachelor's degree in nursing. I have experience with altered mental status patients and do well in deescalating situations involving conflict. im patient, kind hearted and i understand the need of clients. i wont let you down. My mom was sick while i was growing up and it taught me to be strong and i know how i wanted her to be treated so i learned to understand certin needs. like for example patients and understanding needs what attracts me to being a caregiver is i just simply love to help others. what i enjoy of being a caregiver is that the person helps me be a better person and i love to listen and i learn how different so many people are. i learn everyday with different people how the world is good of amazing people.

I've worked in the healthcare field for 16+ years. I started out as a Certified Nursing Assistant, then worked my way to become a Certified Medication Aide. Over the last several years I also helped as Assistant Business Office Manager before later taking over as Business Office Manager at a facility I worked at. Sitting in that office working nonstop with no time to enjoy the conversation of the residents wasn't fun at all. Turns out it reminded just how much I truly love hearing stories of the elderly. Helping those who arent able to do the simplest tasks that you and I take for granted daily brings my heart such joy.

A personal achievement that I am extremely proud of was going to college to be a nurse. Although, if it had not been for my mothers help, I feel I would not have been able to finish. I think not really knowing my grandparents attracted me to being a caregiver. I sort of adopt grandparents along the way. I seem to have a passion caring for older adults. I have worked in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. I prefer to care for individuals in their own home, because I feel better care is given. I am a mother of 2 grown children and an empty nester, so I feel my entire focus will be to provide the best care for you or your loved one.

I view caregiving as a calling and love to help people. I have assisted with companion care to end of life and everything in between. I am delegated for med management, delegated for g-tube feedings and care, experienced with memory care, physical disabilities, stroke, dementia, Parkinson's, hoyer lift and wheelchair, physical therapy, speech therapy, and light house keeping.

I enjoy people , their stories , the life they have lived , events in history they lived through that I can only read about . I know and firmly believe God put me on this path of nursing for its what I enjoy , Can give back and where my help is needed . I believe their are nurses and then there are exceptional nurses . If I can impact one family , one person and make the quality of life the live better then I have done my job . Nursing is not just a career it's a life long commitment and friendship to a patient .

I am very patient. With elderly i enjoy making them happy im very. Understanding i enjoy bring a happiness to the elderly alot of the elderly are very lonely scared i like showing them kindness and they have a friend

I am Maureen Angella Hucey , family and friends call me "Angie".This name is derived from my middle name and most people think I am like an Angel... I was born in Jamaica, spent 10 years of my adult life in the Bahamas. I have a BSC in Hospitality Management, CHS and CHT. My hobbies are, reading, cooking and doing volunteer work in either ministry or helping those who are less fortunate. I have more than 2 years of Caregiving experiences. During my working experience has a Caregiver my Clients/ Patients have requested me back or petitioned that I be the only one assigned to their case. I am a Caregiver that is full of compassionate, trustworthy, loving, kind, considerate,patient, humble,loyal, filled with empathy , very detailed, observant and most importantly your parents or child is "my family". I'm very reliable and can be counted on to be at work when needed or assignments done in a timely manner. What attracted most in being a Caregiver; the smile displayed on clients' faces, the joy I bring to their hearts, the inspiration of knowing that their is hope, the positive feedbacks given after my interactions and care of them. My parents died when I was 13 years of age so I never got an opportunity to be there for them, to care or give them support; so when I care for someone's else parent/s it brings me such joy and I do it with such "spirit of excellence ". What I have been most proud of ,is when a Patient's Son, requested that I be a Special Caregiver for his dad during his Hospice care. He said I was very caring, demonstrated high sense of creativity; made suggestions that were out of the box during those pivotal times when his dad lost his appetite, had a fever and had difficult moving. He commented that " it was the little things" that made his father and the transition/ process much easier. When I'm assigned to a patient and they're not interested in consuming their meals I would find ways of motivating and enticing them.
