I am very outgoing I love taking care of the elderly I have a passion for what I do. Making sure they are Happy and getting the care they need and deserve. Treating them with love and respect. My 1st caregiver job was my Aunt that was very sick. I took care of her until the end of life. And then my grandparents. And it just went on from there. And I knew it was my calling. Because I loved what I did. What I like most is the wisdom and conversations of there life the things they did when they were young. It's amazing to sit down vh and just listen and give thembloge and attention. I am most proud of the many Elderly people that I have taken care of and known in the 31+ years I have been a caregiver and I wouldn't change it for anything it taught me a lot. The first reason is that I am able to be there for individuals that are in need of help. Another reason I enjoy being a caregiver is because, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and after the cancer she went into remission. Shortly afterwards, she was diagnosed with dementia. Recently she was diagnosed with Parkinson. I eventually had to move her into my home and I realized how self fulfilling and rewarding it is to serve others with sincere humility. I feel that as a caregiver each individuals that I care for should receive the best of care, compassion, and the best quality of care that life has to offer. 4. My most greatest achievement is yet to come because, I'm looking to achieve more tomorrow than I have today. Life is a lifelong learning process and when you think that you have achieved your greatest achievement there is still room left for more improvement.

My name is Diane! I'm a mother of three and a grandmother of seven. In the year of 1979 I was a caregiver to my terminally ill grandmother. After she passed away in the year of 1980 I then further my education in health field to learn all I can about caring for the elderly. I attended a class in 1981 after she expired and I've been working in a he field since. Also in 2013 I for a caregiver for my Mom when she passed away in May 2013 and a caregiver for my daughter in 2013 when she flatlined and still her caregiver. I can literally make a joke out of bread and that's what makes my patients care about me the most because I can be myself. What attracted me to being a caregiver was taking care of my grandmother as my first client. I made such a big deal in her life and I wanted to do the same for others. What I enjoy about being a caregiver is that I still get to do everyday life things but with my patient. I have a 69 Year old uncle who's retired and had me get the feel of a Care Giver. I would run strands, Make food, Bathe him, Played music and watched tv with him for hours . What I enjoyed most was how he'll sit and talk to me about his past and things I never knew about. I could keep my uncle smiling and laughing all day. I don't have much experience except taking care of him in the health care field it lasted 2 years on and off though because I also have 2 kids.
