My name is Kathleen and I have been caring for infants and adults for over 10 years. After graduating High School, my grandmother became ill and needed a full time caregiver. I wasn't sure how I would do but it didn't take long to realize I enjoyed taking care of others. Soon after my children were born I began working at a daycare, so that I would be able to take my children with me to work. I enjoyed taking care of infants and toddlers, but as my children got older and started school full time I decided to apply at an assisted living facility. After working there about 6 months I decided this would be my career path. I took an accredited course to become a certified nurses aide and began working at a skilled nursing facility. I have heard so many memories and stories from my sweet residents, and the joy on their faces make me feel like I am making a difference.

Hello, I am a cheerful, positive respectful person with good work ethics that is interested in helping others by showing them consideration, kindness and a sense of hope. I have experienced the loss of my mother to two horrible illnesses, pulmonary fibrosis and dementia. I watched my older sister become my mothers fulltime caregiver, and learned that everything done with tender love, care , and grace helps not only the patient, but also gives peace and comfort to those closest to them. Knowing that my mother was well taken care of gave me a big sense of peace and helped me enjoy her last moments knowing that she had the best care she could of ever had. With that being said, after much thought on how I can honor my mothers memory, I have decided that caring for someone else's loved one will give me joy and a sense of being a help to someone that needs it just like my mother did.

I first became a caregiver when my mother was sick with Lymphoma. I love to cook and clean and have a heart for helping people in need, so caregiving became the perfect job for me. I am patient and understanding and take great pride in encouraging and helping people reach their potential for a more comfortable day to day living. I also have experience working with clients with cognitive disabilities and other mental health illness.

I love seeing smiles on people's faces.If someone is need of help I like to be the one to help them to assure they are happy and ok.I love cooking and cleaning as well as making sure every nutrition is taken in.I like to motivate people the best I can to let them know there potential and what they are capable of. The thing that attracted me to be a caregiver is being able to help someone who has helped someone there whole life and is now struggling to do it now .To be able to put a smile on someone's face and know they are taken care of. Enjoy being around seniors listening to their stories and helping them with their personal care and their home cleaning needs. Willing to work weekdays weekends and holidays.
