I started to watch my parents and their friend's age. I could see the need for people who had patience, kindness, and the calling to work in a challenging and rewarding field. I was ready to make a difference in people's lives as well as to make a difference in my life. I enjoy the one on one interaction with the clients. I ask myself " How can I bring some joy into this person's life today?" "What can I do to give support and comfort?" I try to think of how I would want my parent's cared for. I have 25 years of care giving, 5 with seniors. I am trained and have worked with hospice, MS, Stroke, ALS, physical and developmental disabilities, autism and Alzheimer's. I do all aspects of daily care; cooking, cleaning, bathing, transferring patients, running errands and driving to doctor's appointments. I am currently a licensed CNA, I am certified in Heart Health CPR, Health Care First Aid, Blood Path and Oxygen. and I have attended seminars on Alzheimer's and Dementia at Brenau College in Gainesville GA. I very much enjoy what I do. I feel that I bring patience, kindness, and a cheerful attitude to work each day. All of my paperwork is up to date, TB test, back ground check, driving record and education information if needed. I am also willing to travel. I can provide excellent references. I believe that in this line of work, you need to have a strong passion for helping the individuals that you serve. Without having that passion, you will have a very hard time being successful. Over the past 7 years, I have put all of my time into serving others. I have worked direct care throughout, moving up the chain of command. Now that I am near the top of the hierarchy, I feel that I have lost a sense of why I even started working in this field to begin with, getting caught up with the day to day management duties. I began working in healthcare because of my drive to help. Having a child has only fueled my drive to a max. I have chosen to step down from my upper management position to return to the core of why I began this journey to begin with. I can say with ease, I too have that passion.

My mother passed away at the age of 67 from dimentia and renal failure I took care of her in my home for 3 years until it got to the point of me needing help that was my first real encounter with caregivers. You worry about the choices you make in caregivers because you want to know your family is being taken care of property. My mother is what inspired me to be a caregiver and the reason I am good at my job is because everyone I Care for is my mother.

Hello, I am 21 years old and about to enter grad school to be an occupational therapist. I have worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the last 2 years. I have experience with a variety of disabilities, including dementia, MS, Parkinson's, Autism and many more. I am also BLS (Health Care life support) certified.

I am very good with people, I get a long with everyone. I have about 8 years of experience working with MS to autism. I have private clients that i can not put on my resume they did not want me to, I have worked with them for 6 years now i would like to keep working with them. I took a job working at chileda in la crosse they handle autism and aggressive kids after working their for a year i fell in love with the job and wanted to work with a wide variety of people. I enjoy making sure they have the best life and day to day care its what it is all about going above and beyond. I am very proud of a client after about 6 months of working with him and the other staff he was able to get back in to a walker which he was very proud of and so were we even after his care team would not do physical therapy or pay for it.

Hello there! My name is Ryah, I am currently a student at Viterbo University and I am just looking for a side job to help get myself through college! I have worked as a CNA/RCA since 2018 and I am currently working part-time at an Assisted Living in La Crosse called Eagle Crest South as an RCA. I love being able to give back to the community and help the elders with their daily activities of living. It is a rewarding feeling and I enjoy being able to build relationships with those who are lonely or are in need of help.

I am a very outgoing person. I love trying new things and being active. I also love to cook and bake. I'm very organized and like making set schedules. I've always loved the idea of helping others who need a little extra push or help in life. I love making people feel better about themselves at the end of each day. What made me want to become a caregiver was having the opportunity to nanny for my neighbor who has down syndrome. She was always full of energy and happiness.
