My name is Daisy, I am 30years old. I currently work for the Palmdale school district as a para-educator in a moderate special needs class 6-7th grade but I have down time during vacation times and on weekends. I have 4 years experience as a caregiver. I worked for a company called 24hr Homecare. I dealt with various clients from hourly to live-ins with condition varying from Parkinson's disease to dementia to simply recovering from surgery. I am a very patient, happy, respectful person. Fast learner and have knowledge with Hoyer lifts, colostomy bags, catheters, Accu checks, G- tubes, dressing changes, etc.. My name is Michelle Brooks and I am a caregiver. I enjoy caregiving because it gives me personal satisfaction that I am able to help my clients live an easier and happier life. I have always had a naturally caregiving spirit, and that is what motivated me to become a registered nurse. I started the RN program at Antelope Valley College in August of 2016 and I consider that to be one of my greatest acheivements. Getting here has been the hardest part this far, however I wouldn't take any of it back, especially the experiences that I have had with my clients while working as a caregiver. I have a fantastic work ethic and any one of my previous bosses/clients will tell you the same. I will make sure that my job is not only done at the end of the work day, but accomplished with a keen eye to detail and an importance set on the happiness and fulfillment of my clients.
