About Patricia

I became a caregiver to help others. I have always had a giving and servants heart. I was in the Mortgage industry for many years and when Bank of America closed its campus in Lancaster Calif. I decided to pursue my real love for home care. I started as a Hospice volunteer for Hoffman Hospice in the Lancaster/Palmdale area. I feel as though I have a real purpose each morning when I am on my way to help others. I like how it makes me feel. The achievement I am most proud of in my own life is when I overcame a drug addiction 15 years ago. Since that time I have achieved personal and monetary success and have been able to be a true role model to my children. I am who I am because of the obstacles I have overcome. I am strong, witty, funny stable, enthusiastic and I love to smile. I am a happy person and enjoy making other people happy as well. I have a strong moral code and work ethic. I am married. I Have 3 grown children and am expecting my first grandchild in September!

    My current patient is an elderly male diagnosed with ALS approximately 4 years ago. His condition is deteriorating. He is confined to a bed/wheelchair and needs the assistance of a Hoyer lift to transfer from bed to wheelchair. I assist him and the family with ADL's, and ROM in the morning. I provide bed baths, meal assistance, Hoyer transfers, housekeeping, laundry, medication preparation and distribution. I also transport his 43 year old handicapped son to his job once a week. I provide companionship to him and his wife as well.
