Hi, my name is Tenisha Hill. I became a CNA in October of 2020. Before pursuing healthcare as a CNA, I was doing home health as a PCT. What makes me an outstanding caregiver is I have the ability of understanding and caring. I listen to my patients and talk about how they got there. I also play games with them. I feel healthcare is more than just passing out medicine and coming to change a patient every other hour. It's about compassion and understanding that they can't go home and although you get to leave they don't. That's their home and we are sometimes the closet thing to family that they may have. I build bonds with my patients. Becoming a caregiver was something I was inspired by because I've always cared for other people always wanting to help out and just be involved. I'm not stopping at CNA as I'm currently in school now. I'm being the best me for my patients and myself.
