I am patient and gentle with my clients, giving of services even going above and beyond my duties to the point where my employer has warned me not to go beyond my list of duties, but I don't mind. I've done work for hospice. my interest in care giving started with babysitting at the age of 15, since moving back to s.c my dear mother had heart surgery moved in to care for her for 3 mos. till she got up on her feet, that was rewarding in itself. Seeing my clients improve day by day makes me feel blessed I can help. Once had a client with an enormous bed sore, I did'nt quit till I got it down to the size of a dime, she had no wound nurse.

Dating back to about 20 years ago on into the presence, I've worked in long term care with senior citizens as a certified CNA and caregiver. I've always had a special place in my heart for the elderly population. Very often, in my younger years, I found myself captivated by their eagerness for life as well as the wisdom that they bestowed upon anyone who was willing to listen. As I grew older, I realized that this fascination. I harbored for them was not just any ordinary fascination, but rather a deep passion. I crave the knowledge they are willing to pass on, I love the energy that they give off and I enjoy being a part of their life at any given opportunity.
To CareLinx. My resume will reflect my employment history since moving to Charleston in 1989. I believe I would qualify for a caregiver because I have spent the last 5 Years periodically taking care of my aged parents in their home when a critical illness occurred. And my sister is a severe diabetic, losing a foot and on dialysis, who needs periodic care. My girls are grown and I have had employment that allows me to leave for extended time. Now my parents have long term care in their home and my sister has her children along with a part-time nurse. However, while my sister and my parents remain on my mind, I need to earn a living. My best personal achievement was being a single parent to my daughters from ages 10 and 13. They are happy and hardworking young women who have overcome a challenge of being without their father. It is of great importance that I spend my retirement doing a job that is worthwhile and fulfilling. My hobbies are reading, playing cards and board games.
I became caregiver because I have passion for putting others first. Seeing someone happy, safe and fulfilling life is enough to make it all worth. It all started when my step father became ill before God called him. It was hard on my mother, so I took care of him till the end, and I saw the happiness and love he felt during that time. After his passing, I decided to get my license in order to help putting the same happiness and love to someone in need. What I like about being a caregiver is to make small changes to someone everyday life and also watching the smile emerge and hearing their laughter is enough to make a difference. My personal achievement am proud is putting myself in school to further my education in respiratory therapy. I'm respectful 31 old lady and very humble, calm person. A student and a lovely mother. Compassionate in nature and also like to associate myself with people. I enjoy helping people in order to feel good and expertise in pacifying and offering emotional cares. I like spending time with my family on my spare time and enjoy cooking.
