As you can see, my name is Melanie, and I feel I am the perfect candidate to provide qualitative care for your loved one. I have a history of working with the geriatric population, which is a population I feel beyond passionate about. I became a caregiver over twenty years ago because I have a passion for Seniors and the care and services they receive. My genuine concerns for seniors stemmed from the unconditional love and support my grandparents provided to me while they were raising me, and they still continue to do so. I strongly believe that the geriatric population is one that is often overlooked, and their needs are not perceived as immediate needs, yet their needs steadily become heightened and persistent. As a CNA and a personal assistant, I have provided care to individuals living with developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, Alzheimer’s, Parkinsons, and other aging ailments. I have performed patient care, to include activities of daily living based on client’s needs, both private care and in a long-term, geriatric care center consisting of 161bed units. The patients I have provided care for were a combination of individuals living with acute, chronic, and terminal illnesses, disabilities, as well as hospice patients. I also provided emotional support for patients and their families as well meticulously documented activities of daily living, progress, and retreat. I am flexible with my availability, and I am certain an interview would fully reveal my abilities and enthusiasm for the opportunity to become a caregiver for your loved one.
