I believe that I have what it takes to be a great caregiver. I have a big heart, a positive and outgoing personality, and I have a passion for caregiving. In high school, I completed CNA training and obtained my license. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to work as one before my license expired because of my sudden move to Georgia. I thoroughly enjoyed my time working at nursing homes during my training. My favorite part about my experience as a caregiver was being able to make a difference in some patients lives. My first goal as a caregiver was to ensure that each patient received the adequate care that they needed. My second goal was to be a companion to the patients rather than being just another person who hands them medicine or changes their sheets. I always strived to bring a smile to each patient I came into contact with. The appreciation I received from those patients was something I will never forget. The feeling of knowing that I made a difference in someone's life, is a feeling that I will never forget and will always strive to do. I am a strong believer that a caregiver should not only correctly take care of someone, but should also be someone that people can trust and consider a friend.
