:)Hello their.Ive been an traveling certified nursing assistant for the past 10 years i am passionate about providing quality care and providing stimulating companionship , i am also charismatic, caring and calm,"I believe my most useful qualities in this role are patience and kindness. I've always had a giving personality and I like helping people. But I'd love to tell you a story of when , my grandmother was left alone and began having more and more trouble preparing her meals, bathing, and getting her groceries. So we found her a caregiver, She stayed with my grandma for longer hours than was expected--typically playing (her favorite music) . That was very soothing for my grandma, and that caregiver inspired me to join this field." I'm all about positivity, and setting the right mood for interaction is really important. I had an Alzheimer's patient once, and I established a simple daily routine from day one. I found that acceptance--with a bit of kindhearted, positive redirection (when needed)--was the best way forward. Because of all of my traveling iv had the opportunities to experiences many different scenarios such as, when with a client and they are refusing to take a bath ,eat or refuse to take their medicine ."I like to go by the three Cs--meaning, I always try to remain cool, calm, and collected. Of course, some situations can be tougher than others. But I think encouragement and open communication often help. For instance, I remember a senior patient I had who refused to take a shower. His bathing schedule was in the morning, so I wondered if he'd prefer to bathe at another time of day. Turned out that changing the schedule to late afternoons before dinner was more acceptable for him. I'd take a similar approach to meal or medication issues--emphasizing a sense of understanding to work out a solution."
