I am a licensed CNA/LNA. I enjoy helping the elderly achieve everyday tasks that they are no longer able to complete themselves. I became a caregiver to give the same love and care to others that I was able to provide to my Grandmother. I am a kind, caring, and emphatic individual.

I have been caregiving since I was 20 years old I've had the pleasure of working with all sorts of patients Alzheimer's patients hospice patients stroke patients I love what I do I love to help people I love to make them smile and get better and improve their life

I became a caregiver, because I like to be of service. I have an AA degree in Mental Health and Human Services, and have worked in the field for over 25 years. I started out working Direct care and then went on to provide staff training on how best to serve a variety of individuals. What I love about care-giving is that I am able to use my skills on a one on one bases to improve the quality of life for the customer. One of the things that I am most proud of is that I had a client that everyone told me that she was unable to do anything to help herself, such as eating bathing and communicating her needs. When I worked with her in 6 moths she was able to feed herself and she was able to communicate her needs to me as well as others. Love, respect and honor moves mountains. I have years of experience in the service field and I am an excellent communicator and love to support each individual in living a life of joy and love.

I became a care giver because I have always worked in the medical field except in an office and I wanted to work directly with patients. I like to interact with the patient.My achievement is I have always enjoyed working with patients. I have worked in Doctors offices for the past 19 yrs. I have worked as a benefits verification and referral coordinator. And I have worked as a front desk medical administration assistant.

What makes me a Great Care giver, is my huge heart and personal ability to empathize and be compassionate w my clients. I know nobody wishes to be sick or ailing, so I always try to bring a little sunshine into they're lives, and let them feel a sense of unity and belonging. I try to leave my clients in a better state of mind, than before I got there. I became care giver; because in a pretty dark part of my past, someone very close to me ended up being stabbed 8x. And I was so scared, that I didn't even know what to begin to do. So it was then,that i decided to get into the healthcare field, educate myself, so that I would never find myself in a situation like that again. I love so much about working as a care giver, where should I start?... First off, the fulfillment of actually being able to help someone, hands-on, is very self-gratifying for me. Also knowing that I may make someone's life a little less stressful or painful, just by being able bodied enough to assist them in day to day needs, means a lot for me. But being able to touch someone's life, by sharing a piece of my love, kindness, and understanding w a individual or family, as well as imprinting a piece of myself within them, is probably the BEST reward out of it all. I believe God will place us into certain people's life's at just the right time. When it is most needed. That we may embark on a journey of strength and hopefully healing together. I know in my Heart of Hearts, that being able to offer my help, assistance, or relief to someone or a family in dire need of it, is truly where I need to be. I need to be helping people.... I consider myself a people person having worked with children and adults in a helping capacity for nearly 40 years. I am quite active, hiking throughout the week and lifting weights 3 day per week. Currently I work part time at an adult daycare center. I enjoy helping seniors with dementia and Alzheimer's disease with activities of daily living. I understand the special needs and challenges of people experiencing dementia and Alzheimer's disease. I truly enjoy being assistance to and giving comfort to those with special needs.
