I know when they grow old they need somebody to listen, talk and just be there for them. What I am proud of is making them smile and help them at the same time. I have five kids and eight grand kids. I don't have my parents anymore but to me taking care of anybody that needed help is like taking care of my parents. I am very easy to get along with. In my opinion I am a great caregiver because I have so much passion for my job. I take care of every elderly person as if they are my parents when they get older. I want to make sure they are happy, that's all that matters to me. The thing that attracted me to being a caregiver was taking care of my grandmother before she passed away. I cared for her for about 4 years and it inspired me to go and help those who can't do things themself anymore. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing these people are clean, fed, groomed and have a smile on their face. When you can't do something on your own; that extra hand is most delightful. A personal achievement I am most proud of is getting to where I am today, because being a caregiver was a goal I had for so long and I finally achieved it and I came out on top.
