I have experience using the Hoyer lift ,catheter care, trachea care. I have also worked with paraplegic patients. I have experience in transfers, and Companionship. Hello my name is Venisha Briggs, and what makes me a great caregiver is I let my clients be as independent as possible whether it's bathing themselves or just pouring a cup of coffee over the past 5 years I learned a lot of my clients loved to do so much for themselves no matter what they circumstances were. The reason why I became a caregiver is because I love helping people and keeping people happy and enjoy seeing people feel good about having someone who's there for them,so I took on this profession why not get paid for something you love doing right? I have been working with seniors and elderly clients with dementia and Alzheimer's condition for many years. I assisted in the activities of daily life including bathing, dressing, transferring, incontinence, meal preparations, feeding, medication reminders and doctor's visits, run errands, laundry, light housekeeping, and companionship. I also helped the seniors to have exercises routine, speech therapy, reading, arts and other recreational activities. I enjoyed my job and what I do because I know that I am able to help others and it is a very rewarding job.

I became a caregiver for my great grandmother who needed home care 17 years ago. I love caring for others.
