I am personable and enjoy being a home care provider. I became a caregiver because I wanted to help others by assisting them with their activities of daily living. I enjoyed caring for many seniors over the years and learned quite a lot from them. I believe I'm a great caregiver because I have had extensive training in a skilled nursing facility as well as in many private homes. I also enjoy seeing the difference that I often make in people's lives. I became a nursing assistant back in 1982 and acquired my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license at the convalescent hospital where I worked. I then went on to work for several home care agencies and acquired my Certified Home HeaIth Aide (CHHA) license. I have worked as an independent contractor caregiver for years. I am willing to commute for full-time employment. I have great references and will be happy to submit them upon request.

I worked for Extended Care facilities for a number of years as a CNA, and I didn't feel fulfilled. As an nursing assistant I had 15 or more patients, and I didnt feel as though they were receiving the care, and attention that they deserved. Being a caregiver with CareLinx affords me the luxury of being able to take care patients in way that they truly deserve. I've done this for 25+ years and I really enjoy spending time with the seniors while I provide for their daily needs.

Nursing is a calling for me. Making sure that people receive the best possible care I am able to provide is my most important goal. Safety first always, compassion, dignity, privacy, respect and hope are all important attribute's that I find essential to good nursing care. It is a meaningful gratifying experience to know that I can add to someone's life and possibility bring goodness when health issues can be a challenge and so often depressing. Good nursing requires being completely present while in someone's home or in a facility. My standards are no cell phones while at work, no clock watching, and I always address people with respect by using MR.or Mrs. (last name) until I am encouraged otherwise. Using Mama or Papa and other terms of endearment are not appropriate for me personally in professional healthcare. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is the fact that everyday I'm making a difference in someone's life and everyday we wake up with a choice and chance and with my chance I choose to dedicate and devote myself to being strong when others feel weak, smile when some may not seem happy and to make life a little easier to cope with during difficult times and or conflict. I have been employed as an In-home Caregiver since last November. I also cared for a lady in the 90s for over two years. I am currently caring for a lady in Granite Bay; however, I am looking for a client closer to my home and with whom I could spend more hours.
