I am personable and enjoy being a home care provider. I became a caregiver because I wanted to help others by assisting them with their activities of daily living. I enjoyed caring for many seniors over the years and learned quite a lot from them. I believe I'm a great caregiver because I have had extensive training in a skilled nursing facility as well as in many private homes. I also enjoy seeing the difference that I often make in people's lives. I became a nursing assistant back in 1982 and acquired my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license at the convalescent hospital where I worked. I then went on to work for several home care agencies and acquired my Certified Home HeaIth Aide (CHHA) license. I have worked as an independent contractor caregiver for years. Nursing is a calling for me. Making sure that people receive the best possible care I am able to provide is my most important goal. Safety first always, compassion, dignity, privacy, respect and hope are all important attribute's that I find essential to good nursing care. It is a meaningful gratifying experience to know that I can add to someone's life and possibility bring goodness when health issues can be a challenge and so often depressing. Good nursing requires being completely present while in someone's home or in a facility. My standards are no cell phones while at work, no clock watching, and I always address people with respect by using MR.or Mrs. (last name) until I am encouraged otherwise. Hello, my name is Adi Elenoa (i prefer to go by "Elenoa") Im originally from the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific. Ive been a caregiver for the past 4 years and im a registered CNA and Home Care Aide and have certification for Basic Life Support. The longest client iv ever looked after was for 6months. I have experience in caring for both male and female elderly clients, specifically those with Dementia, COPD and have also cared for those discharged and undergoing rehabilitation at home and also those that need companionship with assistance. Because I love taking care of people. Recommendation from my last clients: She is good at what she does and handles everything in a very thoughtful and humane manner. Our house is always hygienically clean. She was always running up and down the stairs getting things done around the house. We always had heart healthy meals prepared/made. Shes very attentive and caring, and always goes out of her way to do extra for us. We always tell her shes the best. She has an open attitude. We never had to worry about being without care or telling her what to do. Recommendation from my last supervisor: I had no issues with her during our time with us. She is always reliable and on time. When she has called in due to being sick she has always made up her hours with each of her clients so they did not lose time.
