I'm a Filipina Nurse , experienced with Emergency Department, worked in the Military Hospital in the Philippines for 22 years, worked in Saudi Arabia for 8 years as a Nurse Supervisor before I came here in U.S.A. (May 2012) Im a Licensed CNA, and presently working as Caregiver to elderly patients with different kinds of health issues, needs, companionship, ADLs, run for errands, transportation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, Providing Assistance, etc. I'm looking for a caregiving job that would fit my qualifications and close to my home address . I'm Married, compassionate, dependable, and hardworking person, I'm willing to come for Personal Interview.
I am caring, compassionate,flexible and dependable. I enjoy taking care and attending to the needs of the elders. I treat them as my own family. I want to put a smile on their faces. Taking care of sick people especially elderly gives joy in my heart. Caregiving is a challenging but rewarding job. Providing quality care to people who cannot look after themselves while maintaining their dignity is an accomplishment.
I started to be a caregiver when I was still studying nursing school and at the same time taking care of my grand mother who is on her final stage of life. I am STP Journey M Gulles, My father gave me my name. STP stands for Serve The People, and yes that is my legal name. I am working as caregiver for more than 2 years now in California. Before I became caregiver, I was a Registered Nurse in the Philippines for more than 6 years. Being a caregiver is not just having the knowledge and skills in caregiver and healthcare, but also having the passion, dedication, patience and the heart to serve and I think I have all those qualities.
I have a degree in nursing and nurse in profession, I was working as a nurse in a different state and on the process of endorsing my RN license to California. California board of nursing has a requirements mostly on foreign grad nurses for additional units, while waiting for schools might as well work to add up for my schooling fee.
As a health Care provider I love providing home care services to individuals that are able or not able to do so. The smile on their faces is heartwarming yet overwhelming that it makes me feel that I'm doing my job right. I am hardworking and always give 100% and do the best job I can with no excuses or exceptions. Everyday I am still growing in learning more to gain more knowledge. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a clients day, that means a lot to me. It's important to laugh. I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients lives and make a difference to them. I appreciate everyday the chance to get to know clients and the families and become an integral part of their lives. I work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 7am-3pm. I'm available in the afternoon after my day shift.
