I am proficient in basic skills: personal hygiene like showers/bath, oral care, toileting, back-rub, dressing; Assists in activities of daily living such as serving & feeding, ambulating, positioning, transferring, administer meds & nutritional supplements, dressings surgical prep; Do & record vital sign: blood pressure, weight, pulse, temperature, finger pricking for sugar levels in diabetics; Measure & record food & liquid intake, urinary & fecal output and report changes. Encourage patient to exercise. Review & ask dietary restrictions, preferences, & allergies. Change bed linens, replace trash bags. Always check expiration of food & medicines. Know vital information about patient's condition, treatment plan & any suggested activity.. In a capsule, it is very important to respond immediately to patient's call for assistance and/or treatment with the goal of creating a safe, effective environment to make a difference in the lives of the patient & their families. Patience is a virtue inherent in me. I always work above & beyond my duty for the comfort & safety of my patients. What makes me a great caregiver? Well I honestly feel like I was born to serve and take care of loved ones as well as those that cannot take care of themselves. I feel like the world is so fast paced these days that we forget about those aging around us, I have been caregiving for over 10 years professionally but have taken care of my family/friends my whole life. In this field I feel like you have to have a certain amount of patience, care, loyalty and a warm touch and I with me it comes naturally. I love to care for everyone no matter the circumstances.

I became a caregiver because I had always cared for other people and having the opportunity to work with Señior has been the best experience ever. I love hearing their stories. I see them as part of my family. When taking care of them I see it as taking care of my own grandparents.

I am hard-working reliable responsible trustworthy I'm very passionate about my job I got into this career path 2005 when I had to care for my grandmother who was dying from cancer after caring for my grandmother I found myself helping other family members and family friends I feel you have to Be passionate and his work field it takes a certain type of person to deal with every day living watching a person decline is not easy for family members to care for their family members when they have to take care of their family as well So I have a lot of spare time and I would like to give my time back to family they need to take care of a family members

5+ years of Caregiving experience working with adults with disabilities and the older population. I have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Biology from the University of California, Davis and recently obtained my Bachelor's degree in Nursing from National University. Hoping to take the licensure exam soon but in the meantime I hope to continue helping what I feel is the often overlooked population that needs extra attention and care.
