I have chosen my career as a caregiver because I get an enormous amount of satisfaction from helping and caring for others. I have been in the Healthcare field for over ten years and have experienced pretty much every kind of situation plausible in the home health care setting. I am a very empathetic and knowledgeable home care provider and I take great pride in my work.

I first started caregiving in 2010 and fell in love with it, I love to take care of people and being there in time of their need. It brightens my day to see smiles on peoples faces and i can never leave work without seeing that smile. I am working on being a nurse in the future and this is a great start for me. I have been with clients who need as little as companionship to those who are on hospice. When i started this job I never stopped doing it. Because I love what I do. I enjoy working with the elderly and making elderly and making them feel comfortable in their own skin. To feel powerless when you get old is one of the worst things a individual can experience. I have so so much experience with elderly people and those that are dependent on a wheelchair. I can honestly say I enjoy the company of those who can no longer care for themselves. My goal as a caregiver is to be able to give back power to those who feel hopeless and bring happiness to the life they have left. I currently am working with a quadriplegic elder lady that I love to death but she plans to move to Washington this November. I know I have made a difference in her life and also a friendship that will last forever. Hello my name is Venisha Briggs, and what makes me a great caregiver is I let my clients be as independent as possible whether it's bathing themselves or just pouring a cup of coffee over the past 5 years I learned a lot of my clients loved to do so much for themselves no matter what they circumstances were. The reason why I became a caregiver is because I love helping people and keeping people happy and enjoy seeing people feel good about having someone who's there for them,so I took on this profession why not get paid for something you love doing right? An personal achievement I'm proud about is coming from a teen mom and proving to a lot of people that a baby doesn't stop your career I only didn't finish high school but also achieved my Medical Assistant Certification and on my way to become an Registered Nurse.

I like to give the elderly with respect and love as I would like the same some day for myself. I love this job very much. I like to read to them, give them massage, and just sit down for companionship.

Growing up as part of a big extended family taught me a great lesson about taking care of one another. My biggest responsibility was to make sure that my grandparents got everything they need and I remember that I used to look forward to run to them whenever I got home from school. Eversince then I found myself taking care of people. . I have the passion for it. I am very dedicated to what I do. I am loyal and passionate and at the end of the day, I believe clients under my care should be comfortable and happy and most importantly to feel safe and secure.

I've worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years with clients of all ages. I have a particular patience and passion for assisting mature adults. I have experience working with elderly people and children who need help with there needs. I help prepare meals and personal hygiene. I make sure there room is cleaned and laundry is taking care of . I also take them out on outings and provide transportation for them to get to appointment and more etc. I can negoiate the hourly rate also. CPR certified
