Hello, I've been in the nursing field for the past 30 years (since high school) starting as a CNA, working as a live in caregiver. I received my LVN license and currently working at the same hospital (26 years) part time. I have experience with infants to geriatric patients, from a few hours to live in overnight care, I'm available for your loved one and will treat them like my family. I have professional and personal references to provide. I look forward to helping your family.
Taking care of other people had been for me both a childhood passion and an adult dream-For I hope to one day be a nurse. This is why I took classes in CNA believing that this will lead me ultimately to achieving my life dreams. I have since taken two semesters in psychiatric technician studies, and have taken some pre-RN classes. I have also completed my LVN Program at the Fresno Adult School and look forward to enrolling for my RN classes. For four years and more, I have dedicated myself to serving others and acquiring skills that continually enabled me to do so, either at work as a direct support professional, at school as a CNA, in various clinical environments as a patient advocate and care giver, or at vocational training as a licensed nurse. I have since worked as a psychiatric technician asistant working with the mentally sick and am now an administrator working with children with varying degrees of autistic disorders and mental challenges The patient's safety and comfort had always been my focus as I taught them skills for coping with their ADL'S and individual development. I derived satisfaction in assisting someone to go through many a difficult day without loosing their dignity, others to cope with the saddening feeling of emptiness at the loss of loved ones, and yet I had shared pleasurable moments with those in my care on occasions when life beamed a smile on them. Many had learnt new things each day as I worked alongside my colleagues, teaching, a
I have been in the healthcare industry for more than 17 years, early in my career I started as a CNA and Medical Assistant, eventually worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, and for the last 11 years I've gain experience working in facilities such as departments in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and behavioral health facilities. As well as home health and private duty nursing. I am very skilled in monitoring a patient's condition, assessments, safety, and documented reporting. I enjoy working with the elderly because it is very rewarding when I can make a difference in their lives by assisting them with their activities of daily living, enhance their lives socially and interactively, all while monitoring their progress and preventing injury and illness. I enjoy cooking meals and have the ability to cook nutritious meals that includes a well balanced and healthy diet. I have a CA valid drivers license and able to transport elderly clients using safe driving skills and my own reliable transportation. I became a caregiver because I believe in good health, good emotional well-being, and social activities for the elderly and disabled. I enjoy seeing the rewards when a client/patient is happy with my assistance. I am a caregiver because I'm compassionate and kind to help others. A personal achievement I am proud of is becoming a nurse and doing what I love most. I enjoy walks, yoga and medication, movies, playing board games, reading, enjoy scenic views, and spending time with family and friends.
