My name is Melanie, and I am, above all, a wife, mom, daughter to my 91-year-old Momma who lives with us, Gramma, sister, Aunt, etc. Family is important to me; a healthy and happy family. I have always been the nurturer or caregiver in the family, among my peers, in my jobs, with my co-workers and even with strangers that need assistance. My grandparents lived with us when I was little and I started babysitting at 10. Throughout my life I have worked with severely disabled children and adults, developing children's imagination and educating them, created programs for all ages, assisted seniors who needed care in the home and personally lost loved ones to Cancer. I am also familiar with the end of life and/or hospice process. I feel contentment in knowing assistance, time, care and respect I can give to another human makes a positive impact in their life and can give family members a bit of peace knowing their loved one is safe. I try my best to not be a proud person, but I must say one of the best achievements in my life is raising three children to be productive, responsible, respectful and loving adults. My husband, myself and Momma just moved to the Panhandle and I am looking forward to experiencing all the things this area has to offer.

I start doing caregiver job when my grandfather passes away in 1999. I grew up with him and my grandma, but my grandma passes away I was still little, and they were part of my life, I am helping my mom taking care of him and the connection and the love I have for him is very deep, I decided that I will continue to help other and love them as my own. I am a very happy person, I am working hard, very easy to work with and loving person. I love to make my client happy and be comfortable in whatever situation they'll in. I work in the nursing home on memory care side for a while and gain a lot of experience on that side. My goal is to make sure they feel love, knowing they were love, comfortable and enjoy the life they have left in their own home.

My name is Amanda Griffith and I'm a single mother that has fallen in love with the healthcare industry. I started out assisting resident at a facility for mental and physical disabilities and knew from there this is where I was meant to be. I took care of my grandfather, while he was on hospice, overnight and worked during the day. I love the interaction I get and love seeing my residents faces light up when i walk in. I come from a family of deaf so I am also fluent in ASL and love to sign. I want to eventually further my career with more schooling and hope to leave a little piece of me with all of the men and women I work with!
