I've been a caregiver 29 years, I've known what I wanted to do since I was in high school, I do have to make a living, although when you can say you enjoy what you do , it doesn't seem like an effort to work, it's more of a pleasure. I take pride in my work, and I have excellent references.I also have my lpn license, and Alzheimer's training, and certified with a certificate.

I am a Certified Nursing Assistant and Medication Technician with over 10 years of experience working in the Healthcare system in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, private homes, and hospitals. I have experience with Parkinson's, Dementia/Alzheimer's, wound care, (pressure sores, skin tears, weeping cellulitis), stroke victims, paraplegic, bed bound and Hospice. I am very reliable, trustworthy and a I have such a passion for helping others while treating them with respect and dignity. I'm willing to help with daily hygiene care, perform light house work, laundry care, light exercise/transfers, nutritional planning/meal preparation, medication reminders/assistance, shopping, and pet care. I am a non-smoker. I am very healthy and strong. I practice a vegetarian diet with occasional seafood. I have been vaccinated and have a current TB shot. I have a Level 2 Scan fingerprinting and background check available on file.

I became a caregiver when I started to look after my mother. It was an incredibly rewarding experience. I would like to help others do the same as I know that it takes a lot of time and patience that many people do not have. I am very organized and that helps to keep things orderly and in a good routine for a patient. I enjoy spending time chatting and keeping patients company as I know they are often isolated by their frailties. Being a caregiver for my mother is a personal achievement that I am very proud of and I think I can help other families and patients in their quest for great care.
