After caring for my daughter with Rhabdomyo Sarcoma Cancer for some years I decided that "Medical Field "is most definitely for me,Some clients doesn't have a child or love one to give the care or love so that's why I decided to join this field I have a passion for sharing and Caring and companionship Since 2004 til present I have been caring for those with or without disabilities. I am one of the most empathetic caregivers you will meet. I first became a caregiver in 2002 as an STNA with extensive training. I enjoy being able to help with ADLs , but still allowing the client/resident/patient to be as independent as possible. I enjoy helping to increase client's/resident's/patient's will to live. I will/have alway respect the client's/resident's/patient's rights and adhere to all HIPPA laws. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is the time I changed a resident's entire temperament towards the staff by simply showing him that I actually care. He was a combative dementia patient. Being a hair stylist, I would cut his hair and line him up. The constant compliments received from the staff and residents boosted his confidence and definitely increased his will to live. Although, that was many years ago the thought of it still warms my heart.

I went into healthcare right out of high school and have been in the field since. I love providing care for all ages. Its my passion. I'm currently in school to continue my education in nursing. I volunteer at my local animal control. I am very passionate about animal care and protecting them from abuse. I current foster animals to get them ready for their furever home.

I would describe myself as a respectful, observant, reliable and patient person who provides first-class care. Over the years, I have worked in various roles where the need to work closely with other people, follow strict rules and procedures, and demonstrate understanding and empathy have been required. I became a Certified Nursing Assistant my 12th grade year in High School. I have been working as a Caregiver/DSP f for about 14 yrs now. I'm a very compassionate and a dedicated person when it comes to caring for my Clients. I'm very hands on and just love what I do. I am a very caring person, and treating patients as family. I love taking care of people that is not able to take care of themselves. Hi my name is Erin. Let me start by telling you why I got into this line of work to begin with. My dad is 60 yrs old now but in 2013 he was diagnosed with leukemia. He went through several rounds of chemo and then his bone marrow transplant. After a bone marrow transplant they give you medicine to keep you from rejecting the transplant. He was so sick and not getting any better. He began having siezures which lead the doctors to do more tests to find out why and when they did they found that he was allergic to the medicine and it had caused him to have several strokes. From there he went on to an acute care facility and to rehab but he was never the same. It left him paralyzed. While he was in and out if these facilities we saw so many things that were just wrong. Patients calling for nurses and the nurses never went to help. After that we took him home and mother and I learned to care for my father ourselves. After all that I decided I was going to go into home healthcare to care for people so that they didn't have to go to a nursing home because people deserve to be loved and cared for just like my father. This personal experience is what makes me a great caregiver.
