After caring for my daughter with Rhabdomyo Sarcoma Cancer for some years I decided that "Medical Field "is most definitely for me,Some clients doesn't have a child or love one to give the care or love so that's why I decided to join this field I have a passion for sharing and Caring and companionship Since 2004 til present I have been caring for those with or without disabilities. I became a caregiver because I love taking care of people, it gives me a pleasure to see that I can help people who can't help themselves. My personal achievement that I'm proud of is that I was able to be a caregiver for my mom who had brain cancer but passed last June due to her illness,and still worked as a c.n.a in geriatrics.

I love people and I have never met a stranger. I believe that if I take great care of the elderly or whoever, when I get old someone will definitely take care of me. I have six children that I basically raised by myself when my husband left us. I have been through a lot but I have always had a special love for people. I have learned over the years that love goes without saying but its awesome to know and treated like you are loved. My name is Tawanda Burge i has been a nurse aide for over twenty seven years i have like been a nurse an help people for as long as i can remember one of my first job was doing private care from there i did an still are doing agencies work i also like doing private case weather it kids are whom ever i like work with people an it is something i am proud of an me doing my own private case on my own it was the best things i could have ever done i love doing what i do.

I enjoy being a help for others, caring and having patience are my qualities. Seeing people that really appreciate help and knowing that someone is here to be there in their time of need.

I became an care giver at the age of 14 i have 5 sisters and 1 brother in the oldest so i always had to take care of them being a care giver but it really wasn't until my sick grandmother moved in with us she was bed bound nurses use to come to our home and help her with all her everyday living needs i would often help the nurses with the duties and when they weren't there i would take care of my grandmother. I like the fact that i can help someone that's unable to help them self while being compassionate and making them happy. an accomplishment im happy with is getting certified as a nursing assistant im already a pca, hha. im a very fun out going caring person i truly enjoy being a caregiver and when i get older an cant help myself i hope to have someone take as good care of me as i took of other people. My grandmother passed away but i no she would be very happy to see im still continuing working as a CAREGIVER.
