My name is Courtney Brown. I have been working in the home healthcare field for 12 years. I am cpr, bls, mandt, fire safety, AAA driver safety, and proxy certified. I have always had the heart and passion to help others especially elders who can't do things on their own. I have worked with many different individuals with different disabilities and needs. I worked in IDD group homes where I had to cook, clean, give meds, provide transportation and help with everyday living assistance. Being able to go home knowing that I was able to help protect and keep others safe is something I am always proud of.

What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I enjoy helping people. I enjoy sitting and listening to people who enjoy sharing their stories with me when they were younger, or just talking about life in general. As a child I always knew that helping people was what God created me to do and I believe that everyday as I go about my day I see that this my true calling, and I believe that this is what I am suppose to do. I interact with patients all the time when they come into their appointments and there is never a dull moment. They share, and I listen because some have no one to talk to and I believe that me being that person that can talk to not only help them but also helps me to become a great listener and they thank me for that.
