What makes me a good caregiver is that I do just that ...I CARE ! I became a caregiver for my Mom before she passed, rest her beautiful soul. I cooked, assisted her with bathing and grooming. I cleaned, gave medications, so I know the job well after that I started working as a DSP Direct support professional .. i'm nice friendly and patient I love helping people

I became a Nursing Assistant when my grandfather was diagnosed with Cancer it was hard on my grandmother, but once I stepped in with bathing, helping with light housekeeping around the house or just letting my grandmother get out for an hour or two her load was lightened it was a blessing. I felt giving back to my grandfather for all the love and support he has given me all the years was truly from the heart, he later passed away within three months then my grandmother was diagnosed with Cancer and I stepped in for her with just myself and my little children and again it was a blessing but challenging at same time but God gave me strength through my trail and made me strong.If i can give that to everyone I come in contact with am complete because it's from the heart helping someone with a bath, dressing them for the day, of just having a conversation means a lot to so many.. I love what I do and can give another individual

I am a great caregiver because I care for people and willing to go out of my way to help no matter what it is! I became a caregiver because I've always cared about people no matter what they are and who they are and I have a big heart and I know this is what I was meant and called to do by God.. As long as I can give back and know in my heart that I have done my job to help someone in need/achieve their goals that puts a smile on my face.

Im a great caregiver because I love being around seniors,they're good company. I enjoy making them happy,comfortable. I enjoy caring &working with this population. I have empathy, care,compassion. My personal achievement would have to be receiving my HHA Certificate and CNA Certificate. I'm also very fun and festive.

I first became a care giver 15+ yrs ago,I like the fact that i can help someone with there daily living skills and this way they are able to stay in there homes and not a nursing home or hospital.My personal achievement is the closeness that comes with this line of work, and if you have a good relationship with the family that is what make this line of work special to me.

What do I like about being a caregiver? Satisfaction I get from patients...That their needs have been meet, their happiness, smile I receive from that patient, the look in their eyes (that says thanks). What is a personal achievement that I am proud of? Finishing my associate's degree (Medical Assistance). Currently I am working/ training for Dialysis tech.

I enjoy doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I like being able to make a person smile by doing little things to make a person's day better. When I'm older I would like someone like myself there to help me. I currently work with Developmentally Disabled Adults and most are not able to communicate if their feeling ill, but by being very observant and developing a one-on-one relationship with each individual resident I am able to detect when my residents are feeling ill or something is wrong.

When I first became a caregiver I saw it as a opportunity to make money, but as I started to meet all of the patient and see how fun it was to take care of them and get to know them it became a joy to get up and go to work everyday. I like getting to know people and their family from all walks of life everybody got different preference due to their backgrounds it a challenge. I am proud when I leave each patient with a clean body, mind and sole that make my day. I have been doing home healthcare on and off for over 25 years. I enjoy what I do when I 'm doing it. I have taken breaks from it due to putting my all into it and getting burn out from time to time but I always come back to it because it what I like to do. I am experience in taken vital, transferring patient, giving bed baths and meal planning.
