Hi, my names kristen, most call me kris. I think I'm a great caregiver because I love to take care of people who need it the most, whether they just need supervision or need someone to talk to them, outside of family, or someone who needs to depend on me. I have done home health for 3 years, now working in a nursing home as a CNA for over a year. I wouldn't trade it for the world, I love my patient's/resident's.
I am a very upbeat and positive person. I feel I was put on this earth to help others whenever I can. I always go out of my way to be kind and assist others however I can. If someone needs to just vent, I will listen while giving them all my attention. I want them to feel they are my top priority, because they are. I have worked with people with mental illness and addiction issue, bipolar and then there are the medical issues....these people need love and someone to be there for them, to spend time with them...sometimes just to be "present" for them. Give them the integrity they deserve and if they are on their way out of this place, let them know they matter and can move on if that be the case.

I am an easy going, patient loving person! I pay attention to everyone's needs and put their needs before myself! I always wanted to become an elderly caregiver since I have been little! I enjoy helping people and making sure they are well taken care of and happy! I had a grandfather who was very sick when I was younger I have a lot of experience caring for him till the very end! I enjoy caring for elderly whether it's with everyday living tasks or just sitting in total silent holding their hands! Also working as an CNA at a nursing home a lot of residents told me stories back in the day and I enjoy listening to them! One personal achievement I am proud of was passing CNA school and earning that certificate to become a caregiver! I also love working with dementia patients and can learn a lot from them!!
Hi my name is Macy. I work homecare with adults now I realize I love it. I have been working for a couple since November and I helped take care of my grandpa before his passing for 2 years. I recently got the job at rescare just for on call. I believe I am a great caregiver because I love helping people and taking care of people. I got attracted to being a caregiver when I started taking care of my grandpa I thought this would be a perfect job for me. I enjoy being able to help people in need. I am also a babysitter because I love all ages young and older. I am going to college for early childhood education and during the summer I want to get my CNA license. I want to be able to teach children and on the summers take care of older people.
I became a caregiver after caring for my grandmother after she fell ill. I love being able to help people. I love making others happy and making a difference in the lives of others. This is what I enjoy doing. I am proud of the fact I change peoples lives everyday. I have been a CNA for 7 years and have worked in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, and now corrections. I have worked with residents with dementia and alzheimers. I absolutely loved it!
Caregiving is something I don't really consider work. Yes it pays my bills but it's much more than just a job. It's a chance to connect with and help someone that is no longer able to do certain things themselves. My favorite part of caregiving is being able to help make life easier for elders while also creating new friendships.
