I became a Nursing Assistant when my grandfather was diagnosed with Cancer it was hard on my grandmother, but once I stepped in with bathing, helping with light housekeeping around the house or just letting my grandmother get out for an hour or two her load was lightened it was a blessing. I felt giving back to my grandfather for all the love and support he has given me all the years was truly from the heart, he later passed away within three months then my grandmother was diagnosed with Cancer and I stepped in for her with just myself and my little children and again it was a blessing but challenging at same time but God gave me strength through my trail and made me strong.If i can give that to everyone I come in contact with am complete because it's from the heart helping someone with a bath, dressing them for the day, of just having a conversation means a lot to so many.. I love what I do and can give another individual

Im a great caregiver because I love being around seniors,they're good company. I enjoy making them happy,comfortable. I enjoy caring &working with this population. I have empathy, care,compassion. My personal achievement would have to be receiving my HHA Certificate and CNA Certificate. I'm also very fun and festive.

I became a caregiver to help my mom and take care of seniors and help them I always had a passion for helping others. I liked the fact that I am an important part in someone's life. I have patience, and compassion, trustworthy and reliable. What attracted me in being a care giver was when my grandmother went into hospice, I helped with her more than the aids did. I love taking care of other people the way they should be taken care of. The thing I enjoy most about being a care giver is getting to no the patient. I feel like working in a hospital or nursing home you don't get much one on one time with that patient as you would in home health. A personal achievement I am most proud of would be the education level I have. When I was a junior in high school I got my CNA license, a couple years later I got my Home Health care license, then I went to beauty school and got my Cosmetology License, and now I am back in college majoring in Accounting.

I became a caregiver because I love helping others and being able to make them smile knowing they have someone there to help. I took care of a special lady who meant the world to me for 4 years we had a great bond and I was there whenever she needed me.
