Taking care of other gives you that inner satisfaction which is hard to find in other work settings. I'm proud to be a Nurse . I'am a patient, kind, caring knowledgeable Caregiver with 11 year's worth of experience.I'am a certified Medical Assistant (MA). The reason I've wanted to be a caregiver is because I believe that every person's life is valuable and deserves special care. What I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is that I can help others live a quality life. My most personal achievement that I'am proud of is finishing school to become a Medical Assistant.

I have beena medical assistant for 9 years - became a caregiver about 8 years ago after my grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. After caring for her I got a job at an assisted living facility for memory care. I fell in love even more with the field. I took care of 28 residents and loved everyone of them. I truly have a passion for taking care of people. I then started working for an agency with home health to where I started to take care of loved ones inside the comfort of their own home and this was exactly what I wanted. They were inside their own element and comfortable rather than being inside a facility. I then loved this field even more because I was working one on one with Alzheimer/Dementia patients. I would assist them with their daily medications, bathing, light house cleaning, meal preps, grocery shop, doctor appointments, activities. I made sure they kept their minds busy and most importantly comfortable.

I love what I do to help the people that I take care of. I know that it sadden a person to know that they can't do all the things that they are use to doing for they self. And if I can just make that person feel good about their self and put a smile on their face it really makes me happy to know I can make them happy and feel loved. I know that this is a very trying job, but I have learned in the six years of doing this that patience is the key. And I like to treat everyone how I would want someone to treat my loved one or me need the of help.

I love being a caregiver, I was the caregiver of my grandmother, she also helped raise me as a child, therefore I know how important it is too care for elderly people, to care for your mothers or father or grandmother or grandfather , your loved ones, I have over 10 years of experience

Caregiving is something I don't really consider work. Yes it pays my bills but it's much more than just a job. It's a chance to connect with and help someone that is no longer able to do certain things themselves. My favorite part of caregiving is being able to help make life easier for elders while also creating new friendships.

I've been in the healthcare field for four years. I've had my cna for two and I'm a medical assistant. I have lots of experience with assisting people with activities of daily living.

I became a caregiver because I like the elderly and care about them. I have a lot of knowledge of nutrition and have been able to help them improve their nutrition and therefore improve their health. I have been able to help a 96 y/o lady recover from a mild stroke by improving her nutrition and using megavitamin therapy. I am a patient and considerate woman who is concerned about the elderly's well being.
