I became a caregiver to help others, it's always given me pleasure knowing I was able to make someone else's life a little better. I like being a caregiver because it allows me to give back what has been in me. The thing I'm mostly proud of is how much I've accomplished throughout my life. I'm 37 years of age and I've been a CNA for about 13 years now. I'm a very family-oriented, compassionate person who cares about the level of care I provide to others. I'm very dedicated to those I provide services for. I believe in the clients' right to choose his/her care along with treating the client and their loved ones with dignity and respect.

I provide Housekeeping,Meal Prep, Medication Reminders, Toileting, Hair Grooming, Bathing, Transferring, Hoyer Lift, Walking, ROM Exercise My personal achievement that I am most proud of is that I achieved three certifications within the same year of November 2013 my GED,Certified Clinical Medical Assistant,Certified Phlebotomist. In February 2015, I became a Certified Home Health Aide with 40 hours of training. I am highly motivated and eager to learn and work well independently. What I would tell my younger self is becoming a Caregiver is one of the best jobs that you can have and stick with it, do a Great Job because God will Bless You and give you the desires of your heart, just like he said he would in the Bible. My desire for helping someone in needs is the reason I decided to become a Registered Medical Assistant. I am a full-time RMA & due to that my availability is very limited. I have 14 yrs of experience as a Medical Assistant. I am available weekdays after 8pm & weekends morning & afternoons & hoping to help families in any way that I can. I understand my full time work schedule may become a challenge but taking on this role with my extra free time allows me to help another person and helping is an endless opportunity. I look forward to being any assistance that I can to make things easier for both the patient & the family. :-)
As a child I've always wanted to be a nurse. I enjoyed growing up looking after the smaller children in my family. The older I got, I had to help take care of my grandparents when they became ill. I feel that if you're in the medical field you should always treat people the way you would want to be treated. My last job consisted of me taking care of people with mental and physical disabilities. It really humbles me and warms my heart to be able to brighten someone's day and make them feel better. Getting my CNA certificate has helped me move one step closer to becoming an RN. I really enjoy meeting new people.
My older Brother was a resident in a nursing home at a very young age with visiting him and watching how he was cared for, I wanted to be a Blessing to other families the way mine was blessed. The care and nurturing he received inspired me to be able to care for the people in need. The encouragement and fulfillment of my Clients gratitude. I've had the honor of servicing one of the original Tuskegee airmen when he passed I became his wife caregiver just one of my success stories. I've been a caregiver for the past 15yrs. My profession is really a certified Medical Assistant, worked as caregiver part-time for my second employment which is truly a blessing.

I decided to become a caregiver three years ago because I've seen a few older people not being treated the way I feel they should. I also have a grandmother that's the love of my life and I know how I want her to be treated and I give that love and treatment to my clients and that's what makes me a great caregiver.
I became a Caregiver because I want to give back to our aging populations and assist with their declining year with grace and respect. What I like about being a care giver is, not only am I a help to someone but I learn from them as well. Example, I've learned to treat everyone the way I would like to be treated if I were in their place. I also learned to take the time to talk and acknowledge the client. One of my most proudest client achievements, was when I was hired to assist a stroke patient with his daily schedule. This included getting him out of bed, grooming, get dress, prepare meals, and daily exercises. I was told his wife lived with him but she was still very independent and wanted to be left alone she wouldn't speak to anyone. On my first day I spoke to her, by the second day we were having coffee and a very nice conversation. You see, I acknowledge her and that it was her home as well as her husband's. Who am I? Someone who loves what I do, it matters not if I'm working as a Certified Medical assistant, Certified Nursing assistant or Caregiver. My goal is to make a different by letting my clients or patients know someone does care and I am there for them.
