I am a friendly person with a natural capability of providing continuous care. Empathy is embedded in my personality, also, I am a good listener. Moreover, I have a track record of giving elderly and child care and immensely enjoy each moment of my work. When I help rehabilitate people, It re-ensures me that i'm doing a great job to provide for my clients. I've worked numerous jobs helping others, the best part is listening to their concerns, building a relationship with the client and their families.

I became a caregiver just to try something new. I like being a caregiver because I love helping others. Being a mom is my greatest personal accomplishment.

I began my career in dentistry. I graduated from Indiana University with a certificate in Dental Assisting and earned my Expanded Functions of Dental Assisting in 1996 and went on to be a sophomore in dental hygiene and pre dental. While attending dental hygiene I became married and had my son Gabriel. During this time I took time away from school to stay home with my baby! When he was two I went to work as a Dental Assistant again. During this time I noticed Drs treating patients as numbers instead of people. So my nurse friend asked if I would like to work as a home health aide/ caregiver for home health Visiting Angels. I started working with Visiting Angels in 2013. And I found my purpose!! I worked with hospice, Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's, stroke, and being a companion. I have a lot of experience with medication reminders, bathing hygiene, ect. The thing I enjoy most about caregiving/ home health aide is putting smiles on my patients faces, helping them as much as I can so they know they are cared about. I treat each patient as I would want my family taken care of!! I'm very compassionate and patient. I give over 100% And I absolutely love what I do. I can go home at night knowing I helped someone, I put a smile on their faces or held their hand. I not only help them but they help me as well.

I have 13 plus years of professional caregiving. I have experience with the elderly as well as people with disabilities. I absolutely love helping others. It is a passion of mine. I could not see myself in any other line of work. I have a ton of experience and wide range of skill and knowledge. I look forward from hearing from you.

I have recently just became a license practical nurse this summer as I graduated from Ivy tech community college in South Bend. I have been working with children for almost three years now at Walkerton and North Liberty elementary at the before and after program and I have recently taken on a job working with special needs students at John Glenn High School. I am trustworthy, hardworking, and caring. I've always been attracted to being a caregiver for my love of working with children and special needs. It is so rewarding to see the time and effort put into something and having it truly make an impact on someone!
