I like being a Caregiver because i get to help other people. I'm honest & trustworthy. I've been doing home health since i was 19yrs old. I'm CPR &first aid certified. I like to treat clients like their part of my family.

I am 22 a mother of a one year old son I am married I love to be around family and friends. I become inspired to be a care give because of my grandfather he was disabled and I loved helping him making him laugh smile. Making sure he was okay feed bath clothed clean house. And I was proud to do it and would to continue to do it as a career

I have been around and have worked with special needs children and adults for 14 years, I volunteer with my husband who is a bikers who care member, for any and all events I can. I have worked at PDI and received all my training on multiple disabilities. I have worked respite, job coach, caregiver, supervising job coach, and home care. I am CPR certified, and first aid certified. I plan on working towards my CNA very soon. I have worked with the elderly including ones with dementia and alzheimers. I personally have raised three children, so I'm good with children as well. I look forward to hearing from you, and your loved one.

I received my CNA certificate after my maternal grandmother was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal breast cancer. Prior to her being placed on hospice I would watch what the nurses were doing and when small things would happen I would take over. Example her if would constantly alarm I watched and learned to reset it if the nurse was busy. After my grandmother was placed on hospice she said to me after me helping to care for her she whispered to me moments before passing "baby doll this is your calling, God has placed you here to care for others please peruse this field". And I did just that. I retained my CNA and worked in various nursing homes and always had an interest in death and dying units. I wanted to make them as comfortable and content as possible. I wanted to be there as much as I could for those who had family place them in nursing homes and never visit. I wanted to be there like family . which led me to the choice being offered to a patient that use to come into the ER routinely. Until family of that patient offered me to take care of him at home until his last days... I worked for a nursing home where we had a husband and wife in separate sections of the nursing home I worked with the husband more frequently than the wife but one morning I arrived at work and heard thru our morning meeting report that the wife had passed and they hadn't told the husband . I offered because I was very close to him . long story short family was not going to make arrangements for him to attend her funeral due to limitations he had ie him being in a wheelchair and then not having access to transportation to get him there. Short staffed at the home I offered on my day off to see to him getting to the funeral home church and grave site. It was hard I pushed him thru areas that were grassy muddy and not meant for travel in a wheel chair but I did it . I put myself in his shoes that did and did whatever it took.

As for children, I have not only cared for multiple children over the past several years through an individualized schedule, but also in a professional setting. It's not only kids that I enjoy being with, but I also enjoy working with teens, adults, and the elderly! I have counseled at an 18+ special needs camp for the past 2 years and helped with special olympics groups of all ages. I am still active in these activities throughout the year! Saying this, it is unquestionable that I have the experience to care for people of all ages. I am a certified lifeguard and certified in CPR, AED, and professional first aid training. Additionally, I am 2 years into an occupational therapy degree and have observed at several facilities as reputable as Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, so I know almost exactly what to look for in developing and declining individuals and how to work on struggling aspects of their daily life. Finding a responsible and caring babysitter is difficult and I can assure you that I am both! Let me know! I would love to help your family grow!

i have been a caregiver very long but i beleive that everyone has a right to stay in their homes. after all they did pay for it after all their hard work. my mother has a care giver and i can only hope and pray that she is getting well treated as i have well treated seniors that i have been with. i enjoy talking to seniors and helping them in their homes. i have a icense in c.p.r.i have2 and a half years experence in home care;

I became a caregiver to give back to my community. I absolutely love and enjoy making a difference in the lives of others who are less fortunate to do so for themselves. I currently have my Emergency Medical Service license in good standing with the state of Tennessee as well as National Registration of Emergency Medical Technicians and current up to date CPR. I work 36 hours a week for a private EMS service in Nashville and am looking for a few extra hours to pick up during the week. I no longer have a current CNA license but have been licensed in the state of TN and am in good standing to renew my license if I so wish. I just left it expire due to the fact I am working EMS now and no longer working at any nursing homes/assisted living centers where it was required.
