Each human being need someone in their lives, specially adulthood who are sick and need special care.My goal was always become an aide to take care of sick people or people who cannot do anything. I like to make them feel very comfortable, listen to them and do the essential of what they need to be done.
I have empathy for people who are hurting and wish to see them living as independent in their lives as possible. A caregiver helps that person achieve that or near that goal. That makes the person given care happy and so do I. What would have resulted into depression is taken away leading the individual to enjoy a full and independent life. In one of my daily wonderful days as a caregiver, one of the clients was so so happy having me around that he said, "Fred, as long as I live, you are assured of a job." Being a person with a technical background and with a passion to fix things, my more than eight years of experience as a caregiver/Certified Nursing Assistant and with an Associate Degree in Sciences, And a Handyman, I have enjoyed doing things that help people live a full happy life at their homes and I have made a lot of friends from all sectors of life. At the end of the day you feel proud to have made someone feel better.

I love providing caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. what I love being a caregiver is meeting new people and providing caregiving services that they can no longer do for themselves. I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client’s day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh. I have been working at assisting and memory care facilities over 3 years . At the age of 10, I landed my first job as summer companion to Catherine DeForest, my maternal grandmother. Unsurprisingly, the work of companion to the family matriarch required copious amounts of physical labor - my grandmother was elderly - but the experience also involved inklings of a new and unexpected pleasure - the gratifications of responsibility. My grandmother, who was from New York, arrived at Glendale Cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee, on the first day of summer. Over a period of 12 years, I joined her there. I cleared the acorns from the grasses of her double croquet court, hiked each morning, shopping list in one hand, bills and change in the other, to the corner store to buy her groceries, and rowed her, my grandmother did not drive an automobile, across Smith's Cove to tea at the homes of neighbors. Her training served me well. From my grandmother I learned to be a responsible member of a household. I learned to be good company. Still under my grandmother's spell I enjoy being secretary and companion to the mobile elderly.
