Growing up I was an only child then I lost both of my parents. My father passed away and my mother abandoned me. I am strong willed and can accomplish anything that is presented to me. I love that I can be able to take care of others and showing them the love and help they need since I didn't get that growing up. Caregiving is the first step then hope I can be able to be a nurse or doctor one day so I can use my skills and talents where needed.

I chose to be a caregiver from my childhood taking care of my loved ones in my family whoever got sick and was hospitalized, I was number one to go and take care of them, when I grew up, started to take care of my Mom who had diabetes and High blood pressure, came to America and started working in a small assisted living for people with Alzheimer and my passion for care increased .I was so happy to make a difference in these people and make them smile.

I am an adult Female that has a good listening ear. I take initiative and I am physically active and strong. I have empathy and I like to put myself in my clients shoe and assist them as I would wish to be assisted, no matter the situation or the circumstances. Even if only to make them smile. That way I feel good that I have assisted and I have accomplished something today. I naturally like helping people and giving them a hand, leaving a person in a better situation than how I found them. For example, I once found a client, depressed and a year long in a wheel chair. Everyday I would encourage her to take a step, even if one. After six months of this practice; she ended up having leg braces and was walking with them plus a cane. No longer in a wheelchair. This is just one of the many achievements, over the years, that I am proud of, in helping different ages, and people from different population, achieve.

I love giving my services to that where once strong and now weak and elderly by supporting them to feel loved because I will at one time need the same services given back to me at one time in life. Am a good listener, able to give feedback to a client in verbal and written English. Able to take a message notes for the clients, Remind them to take timely medication where possible. Provide personal care at all times. keep the environment clean, dress up client appropriately daily, able to use supportive devices like gia belt, hoyer machine or a Walker. I am passionate and enthusiastic about what I do. I love taking care of people. I became a care giver to be able to take care of people whose loved ones where far or stretched and needed an extra pair of hands. Meeting new people, getting to know them and being able to help them with their basic needs gives me satisfaction. One of my achievements was being able to care for a depressed client who after sometime started liking getting out of bed in the morning; I read to them and often took short walks with them.
