I am a great caregiver because I have the skills, knowledge and experience to perform the job assigned to me with great dignity and respect. I became a caregiver because I like taking care of elderly people with all their activities of daily living. I like being a caregiver because whatever I do and wherever I go my clients are always proud of me and happy with me. I always say to myself, it is not how you do it, but how they want it to be done. At the end of the day, I am happy when I do a great job and receive compliments from my coworkers, residents, and patients.
Why I am a great caregiver? I embody the word "care."
I believe that I am in this world to be a great caregiver. I cared for six foster children after their mother lost her way and left them to fend for themselves. Their ages ranged from one to seven years old, and they lived with me for seven years. I helped build a home for them, and some of them still reside in that home to this day.
As a caregiver, I am very observant and skilled in assisting with the health needs of the care recipient. Caring for others brings me contentment and joy.
My profession has taught me how to get along well with many different types of people.
the work environment is loaded with a variety of different people with varying personalities. I work well with anyone who delivers what they promise. I have always been able to get along with anyone. It does not matter how difficult some of my co-workers can be, I've always managed to get along with them. I even manage to work well with those whom I do not encounter on a daily basis.
In summary, working well with others simply means, having great work ethics, personality, and a passion for delivering what you promise.
I have great communication skills and can work with many different types of people of varying personalities and skill levels. I am motivated, disciplined, and focused and I am determined to get my job done well and on time.

3) One personal achievement that I am proud of was being able to effectively change a particular patients life around. When I first met this particular patient he was a diabetic with high blood pressure, dementia and other illnesses. He was a non active, detached individual who didn't speak much. After working him for a couple of months he changed completely. He was then full of life, and didn't need his insulin and blood pressure pills anymore. From this experience I felt like I've made an irreplaceable bond that'll never be forgotten.
4) I am a very hardworking person with a doggedly determined mindset. I make sure that all aspects of the job are done and that the patient and their family are content at the same time. I am also an understanding, flexible, loving and euphoric person that's strives for a happy work environment.
I have 14 yrs.of experience in the nursing field.Since I was a little girl I've always enjoyed helping others it did matter if they were young or old if i could help i would. I knew i wanted to be a nurse when I was 11 yrs. old and my aunt got sick . My mom took care of her, I would help when I came home from school. I love being a caregiver because it feels good to help those who cant help themselves, and you never who face you can put a smile on. My two greatest accomplishments are raising a respectful teenage son who adores me;and the fact that i have a profession that i love and enjoy which allows me to meet different kinds of people. I started my nursing career at stella maris inc. 14 yrs. ago where I worked with patients with dementia and alzheimer's . I worked in a couple of different facilities I treat everyone with the same respect and dignity they deserve.
I was an Caregiver for my grandmother. When she passed away I got an job working at an nursing home in house keeping. I became overwhelm with the residents after 6 months working as an house keeper my supervisor as me if i would like to take a class for an nursing assistant position. From their on I have be an Geriatric.
