I am a very passionate, honest and professional Registered Nurse . Right from a young age, i always wanted to work with the public to make a positive impact to people's life and that is why i decided to chose a career in health care. I enjoy providing care and treatment to sick people /service users. I pride myself ensuring that those under my care happy and valued. I have vast experience working in different healthcare settings and i believe the skills i have acquired over the years would be extremely useful in providing high standards of care to the clients under my care. After high school, i decided to do a degree in Nursing which i am very proud of this achievement because despite having to work and study simultaneously, i was able to graduate with good grades and became a registered nurse in the United kingdom for many years and I am know a RN in the United States I would love to work for a friendly family and i promise that if i am given the opportunity, i would not let you down.

I love the idea of giving care to someone who otherwise may be unable to care for themselves. My grandfather needed a caregiver himself when I was much younger and my family was unfortunate to have the worst experiences and I'd like to use this opportunity to make someone's experience a lot better and their lives easier.

I'm a registered nurse with 10 years experience. My background is critical care, post-operative care and prior charge nurse experience in orthopedics/telemetry. I'm a mom of 3 young children. I'm hardworking, organized, attentive to detail and compassionate about providing high quality care with each client I encounter. After years of being at the bedside and witnessing far too many elderly and disabled clients admitted with preventable health ailments- I've decided to transition my career to provide quality care and help my community prevent these cases from happening. I pride myself in honest, genuine care- with the promise to care for your loved one as if they were my own.

Compassion, although it comes naturally, I have continued to cultivate it in my personal and spiritual life. Nothing makes me happier than to know I have in some way made the life of others, more comfortable, bearable, dignified. My first observation of healthcare was in the family setting observing, Mother, and Aunties attend to the needs of those family members who were advanced in age, disabled or in distress just seemed like a natural thing to do. At the age of 14, I volunteered as a "Candystriper." even though I was personally terrified of blood, needles, and that medicinal hospital smell. I love using my education and experience to help clients and their families through difficult times. My proudest moment was successfully completing my Nurses diploma in 1986, graduating from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, on the Dean's list.

OBJECTIVE I am an experienced R.N. of many years. A positive encouraging person. I enjoy my work as a Nurse and I like to give my best of care to those who need it most. As a young Certificated Midwife, who delivered thousands of babies, in a remote village in Ghana years ago, I realized how I loved being in the Health field. I have been in the Nursing field for a long time, and delivering top-notch quality services to my clients is classic to me. I proficiently use my experienced skills beyond the call of my duties, to assist other staff members who needed a touch of training to enhance their skills for the betterment of client care. I was a nurse in the Philippines and my experience as a caregiver began with taking care of my diabetic aunt. After graduation I took care of several patients in their private homes. As a caregiver I have had the chance to understand the needs of families. I am always present and able to provide around-the-clock care. My main responsibility as a caregiver is to provide assistance with the medical, personal, and emotional needs of the patient. I am skilled at administering medicine according to doctors' orders or simply reminding patients to take their medications. I also assist with activities of daily living - I can help with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, exercising, meal planning, nutrition tracking, transferring from bed to wheelchair, and keeping company. I can also do light housekeeping, prepare meals, and provide emotional care to the family members. Caregivers prevent family members from feeling burnt out. As a caregiver I feel that I have contributed a lot by improving the health conditions of my patients. I find nothing more rewarding than caring for them.

I enjoy helping others and if I can do something to help someone feel better or whatever it may be it makes me happy. I see over the years even the slightest attention and care can go such a long way. Seeing a smile and a thank you from a patient or family members is satisfying. I have had numerous personal one which I still wonder how I did it was graduate Nursing school with all the challenges thrown my way by my personal life with divorce, custody issues and doing all I can for my kids one which is disabled and the love of my life. I am currently studying for my Boards for RN license and currently working in a Pediatric ER and have for over a year now and love every day I am there. It is fast pace which I like. Have learned and seen many things, some sad and some rewarding. Before I took the Student Nurse / PCT position at the hospital I was working with the ARC of Anne Arundel County for the Adults as a CNA and Med Tech.
