I am a passionate caregiver who loves the work I do. I started out taking care of my ill grandmother at 17 years old in North Little Rock, Arkansas. I graduated two year ahead of my class at 16 years old in May of 2011. As soon I received my diploma, I quickly enrolled in CNA classes where I soon graduated first in my class in February 2012. I have been in the medical field ever since. My grandmother thankfully recovered fully in good health and since then I have worked in facilities and home health areas. I am an easygoing person with a bubbly personality. I love to make people laugh as well as feel comfort and peace in my presence.
I have a nurturing spirit. I became a care giver at a young age. I took care of my god mother at 12 years of age. My career choice stemmed from my relationship with the elderly. I love what I do. My work speaks from its self. I love to help people get back to their best. . I love how I can get to the meanest people and they truly love me. I have client I make special sandwich's to make him happy. So when he doesn't eat the staff let's me know and I can go cook and he will eat. This makes me proud. He doesn't like many but he likes me. I'm proud of that.
I am compassionate for the well being of the elderly. Providing care for those who provided for others in times of need I relate to the elderly and enjoy the company, all their wonderful stories and i am proud to serve the elderly to give them the care they gave to others in their lifetime.

I am able to assist with personal needs, (dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, medications, housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparation, errands, appointments, yard work, physical and memory exercises), and most of all provide companionship. I have a strong affinity to Seniors and believe that they are entering in a unique but confused time in their life. They are proud and have worked hard in their life and unfortunately the world as tech savvy as it is has created additional confusion to their life than necessary. I have great care and compassion with anyone with differing needs. I have been around the world in missions in SA, USA teaching and working with children and adults with differing needs. I have taught handicapped children therapeutic riding, I have taught adults with differing needs how to connect to technology to see a bigger world and gain enjoyment by using a computer. I am a extremely caring and compassionate young lady that has lost her father to Dementia. I have seen all sides and respect the changes that occur. I have worked for a large facility and did medicine management as well as direct resident care and any chore the resident required. I appreciate the fact that most of our elders are not in need of being in a community, however, they may just need that helping hand at home that assists in day to day tasks that they can no longer do. I am willing and capable to drive the resident to their necessary appointments or grocery shop or whatever or where ever they need to go,
I'm easy going person who like to be around different people. I'm easy to have a conversation with, I'm very passionate towards people. My mom was a CNA when I was 12 years old, my mom took me to work with her i enjoyed helping others and seeing the smile on their faces. What I enjoy most is seeing their faces when you walk in, being able to help them, learn about them. Being able to know they have someone there to help and listen to them.
I became a caregiver because i have a strong heart and love helping others. I like being a caregiver because some elderly people do not have people that really care about them for them they family only care if they getting money out of them . I seen it happen with my grandmother. I love helping others & making them feel good about themselves just because they are old they still having feelings to. No one should ever be abused or neglected
